Mr Strong further advised that the stable would advise Stewards should anything come to their attention in the near future that may have had a bearing on today’s performance.

Correct weight was delayed when Stewards considered an objection lodged by Jockey T. Wolfgram the rider of KINGSCOTE which finished 2nd against BID IN A HURRY (Jockey A. Spinks) being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference in the home straight. The Stewards were of the opinion that whilst BID IN A HURRY shifted out under pressure approaching the 100 metres causing KINGSCOTE to shift marginally wider they were of the opinion that the degree of interference suffered by KINGSCOTE was insufficient to exceed the neck margin between the two horses at the finish and therefore Stewards dismissed the objection.
