GENERAL
 
Stewards permitted the following riders to ride 0.5 kilograms above their allocated weights due to the current covid restrictions:
 
Race 2 – TIOMO – Larry Cassidy
Race 3 – THE KEWESS – Boris Thornton
 
 
RACE 1: RADIOTAB CLASS 3 PLATE 1100 METRES
 
Upon returning to scale, Rider R Fradd reviewed the footage and elected not to lodge an objection.
 
MASTER RED – Jumped inwards making contact with DEFERENCE. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
RUUCA – Held up and unable to improve between the 600 metres and the 400 metres. Passing the 400 metres, made contact with COOK IT CHARLIE.
 
DEFERENCE – Crowded and buffeted on jumping. Was held up making the turn into the straight. Shortly after the passing the 100 metres, had to be steadied when crowded to the inside of KINGSCOTE.
 
KINGSCOTE – Carried in for a short distance over the concluding stages.
 
SHE CAN SING – Bumped on jumping. Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
A RIVER SOMEWHERE – Hung in in the home straight, placing its rider at a disadvantage. Rider S Thornton reported that the mare had a tendency to hang in throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be displaying thumps and coughing. Trainer T Gollan was advised that the mare would require a veterinary certificate including the results of an ECG prior to racing again.
 
COOK IT CHARLIE – Jumped away awkwardly. Bumped near the 400 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. As this was the first occasion on which the gelding had bled, the gelding will now be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months and will further be required to gallop 1000 metres in the presence of Stewards prior to racing again.
 
 
RACE 2: SIMMONS LIVINGSTONE & ASSOCIATES BENCHMARK 80
HANDICAP 2200 METRES
 
ADMUND BOY – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. As this was the first occasion on which the gelding had bled, the gelding will now be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months and will further be required to gallop 1000 metres in the presence of Stewards prior to racing again.
 
TOP ORDER – Slow to begin. Rider T Marshall was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on seven (7) occasions prior to the 100 metres, being two (2) more than permitted.
 
SCICONIC – Rider J Byrne was fined $300.00 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on seven (7) occasions prior to the 100 metres, being two (2) more than permitted.
 
TIOMO – Slow to begin.
 
 
RACE 3: APG WORKFORCE 3YO QUALITY HANDICAP 1100 METRES
 
The start was delayed when ORIENTAL PRINCESS proved difficult to load.
 
RUBIQUITOUS – Had a tendency to hang out for the majority of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained a laceration to the inside of its off side cheek.   
 
GEMELON BOLT – Rider B Stewart was fined $500.00 pursuant to AR131(b) for failing to ride the gelding out to the end of the race when in contention for the placings.
 
THE KEWESS – Rider B Thornton replaced rider J Orman as he was unable to make the allocated weight. Rider J Orman was fined $200.00 pursuant to AR190(3) for accepting a ride for which he was overweight.
 
BEAUX RUMBLE – Rider A Allen was fined $600.00 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on eight (8) occasions prior to the 100 metres, being three (3) more than permitted.
 
ORIENTAL PRINCESS – Trainer G Heinrich was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly in respect of the filly being difficult to load.

 
RACE 4: QUINN FAMILY LAW OPEN QUALITY HANDICAP 900 METRES
 
SUGAR BOOM – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
TAVISAN (NZ) – Laid out making the turn in the home straight.
 
PIZONIE – Began awkwardly.
 
ROCK BEAT – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide throughout the event.
 
 
RACE 5: SCI-FLEET HINO BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP 1800 METRES
 
PROSPECTUS – Crowded on jumping. Over the concluding stages, became awkwardly placed on the heels of SEEINGISBELIEVING after being bumped by EELLOH.  
 
SEEINGISBELIEVING – Carried wider at the 1400 metres and thereafter raced three-wide without cover.
 
I COULD DO BETTER (IRE) – Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early stages. Steadied off heels near the 500 metres. Had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 600 metres until the final 100 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly lame in its off fore limb. Trainer C Waller was advised that the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to racing again.
 
GLEN ORD – Raced three-wide throughout the event.
 
IRISH SEQUEL (IRE) – Crowded on jumping.
 
OCEAN TREATY (NZ) – Rider S Thornton replaced rider B Nothdurft as he was unable to make the allocated weight. Rider B Nothdurft was fined $200.00 pursuant to AR190(3) for accepting a ride for which he was overweight.
 
ASWAAT – Shortly after the start steadied off the heels of GLEN ORD.
 
OUR REBEL – Jumped awkwardly outwards. Near the 1500 metres, when racing keenly became awkwardly placed on the heels of SEEINGISBELIEVING. Shortly after passing the 1400 metres, when racing keenly shifted outwards making contact with SEEINGISBELIEVING.
 
MAEVILA RULER – Was momentarily crowded near the 1400 metres when SPANISH POINT shifted in.
 
 
RACE 6: BIRKBECKS JEWELLERS CLASS 6 HANDICAP 1200 METRES
 
ELIXIR – Jumped away awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained minor abrasions to its near hind limb consistent with being galloped on.
 
POTRO DURO – Raced keenly in the middle stages of the event.
 
CABEIRIAN – Near the 800 metres, restrained off the heels of ELIXIR.
 
SAY HAYA – Slow to begin. Inclined to lay in over the final 200 metres.
 
 
RACE 7: SKY RACING PINK RIBBON CUP 1300 METRES
 
THE PINES – Held up for clear running in the early part of the home straight.
 
MIAMI FLEISS – Slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.
 
DASH FOR DREAMS – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was subsequently cleared to start.
 
CENTREFIRE – Raced three-wide without cover throughout the event.
 
SIESTA KEY – Laid out on the turn into the home straight.
 
 
RACE 8: CRONIN MILLER LITIGATION CLASS 3 PLATE 1400 METRES
 
MORETHANNUMBERONE – Raced three-wide with cover throughout the event.
 
DARING MAN – Bumped shortly after the start. Had to be eased near the 100 metres when momentarily held up between BOHEMIAN BOOM, which laid out, and LEICA BITA FUN, which laid in.
 
ENRIQUE – Bumped shortly after the start.
 
PURE PURGATORY – Held up for a short distance in the early part of the straight.
 
HOWDY ANGEL – Raced three-wide without cover throughout the event.
 
 
RACE 9: SOUTH COAST RADIOLOGY BENCHMARK 85 HANDICAP 1400 METRES
 
RUN FOR GLORY – Had a tendency to lay in throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
COULDN'T REFUSE – Blundered on jumping.
