Race 1: BOXING DAY RACES QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Plate 900 metres
 
MISHANI MENACE– Slow to begin and shortly after the start lost ground when racing tight between MOUETTE and OUTREACH GIRL.
 
MISHANI MONSIEUR– On route to barriers, Jockey S Tomlinson was dislodged. After getting away for a short distance the gelding was captured and underwent a veterinary examination, in which was passed clear to run. Bumped on jumping. Bumped on a number of occasions making the turn into the straight and approaching the 200m. 
 
CHAMPAGNE TASTES– Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
CHAYSE 'N' MENARI– Racing keenly early, steadied outwards away from the heels of CHAMPAGNE TASTES near the 800m.
 
MINKS STAR– Bumped on a number of occasions making the turn into the straight and approaching the 200m.
 
MOUETTE– Bumped on jumping.
 
OUTREACH GIRL– Jumped awkwardly.
 
 
Race 2: 90.9 SEA FM GET THAT FEELING BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 900 metres
 
SHE'S A TIGRESS – Raced four wide without cover throughout.
 
FAR TOO EASY – Jumped a bit awkwardly. Raced wide from the 500m.
 
SHEEZASINGA – Bumped on a couple of occasions near the 700m. Three wide without cover throughout.
 
LADY TULESSA – Bumped on a couple of occasions near the 700m. Laid in inwards in the straight.
 
 
Race 3: 90.9 SEA FM BIANCA DAN AND BEN Maiden Plate 1200 metres
 
BEYOND FATE- Jockey J Guthmann-Chester, rider of BEYOND FATE was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on six occasions prior to 100m, one more than permitted.
 
INJUSTICE– Laid out making the turn into the straight.
 
TERSANE (NZ)– Jumped away awkwardly. Wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination of TERSANE identified an irregular heart rhythm. TERSANE shall not start in any race until the Stewards have received a satisfactory veterinary report. The report must include the results of an ECG performed at rest and cardiac auscultation performed within 30 minutes of completing a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 meters.
 
IRING– Slow to begin.
 
FIELDS OF FRANCE– The mare underwent a veterinary examination when arriving at the barriers, in which was cleared to race. Returned having cast its off-hind plate.
 
STEALTH FLYER – Miss strode near the 800m.
 
TUCKER MCGOO – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 4: 90.9 SEA FM ALPHABUCKS Maiden Plate 1200 metres
 
 
CHASING JACKLEY – Slow into stride after being bumped on jumping.
 
NO LOVE LOST – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
MEXICAN STAR – Bumped on jumping.
 
PEDAL TO THE METAL– Shifted out abruptly near the 1000m when awkwardly placed on the heels of SPEED MAP. Approaching the 200m was momentarily inconvenienced when MEXICAN STAR shifted out. Jockey of MEXICAN STAR, C Caserta was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.
 
BELDEVILE – Eased off the heels of PEDAL TO THE METAL which shifted out abruptly near the 1000m.
 
 
Race 5: THE GOLD COASTS 92.5 TRIPLE M Maiden Handicap 1800 metres
 
COLLECTION POINT – Slow to begin.
 
STRONGBOW (NZ) – Three wide in the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. When question, jockey N Callow reported that the gelding was one paced and failed to run on.
 
KISS HELL – Laid in shortly after entering the home straight.
 
CHAYSE 'N' TANYA – Was unable to secure clear running in the early part of the straight.
 
 
Race 6: BRIDGE, SPIDA & FLAN ON 92.5 TRIPLE M QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1300 metres
 
RICHUNCLEMONEYBAGS – Approaching the 1000m, tended to over race and got its head up, proving difficult to control. Had to be severely restrained near the 950m when continuing to over race and getting on the heels of KILKENNY DAZZLER. Shortly after passing the 800m, lost ground and had to be checked severely whilst over racing and commenced racing tight between KILKENNY DAZZLER and BUBBLES ‘N’ MORE. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
BROOKLYN MAM – Inconvenienced near the 800m when RICHUNCLEMONEYBAGS shifted out abruptly.
 
MIDNIGHT BOOM – Apprentice Z Lloyd dropped his whip near the 200m.
 
LONDON BELL (NZ)– Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
BUBBLES 'N' MORE – Buffeted in jumping.
 
 
Race 7: GREATEST HITS SPORT & COMEDY 92.5 TRIPLE M Class 2
Handicap 1800 metres
 
BRETON – Slow to begin.
 
MADAME MO – Was slow into stride after jumping away awkwardly. Near the 1600m, had to be restrained when over racing for a short distance. Laid outwards in the straight.
 
MA MA'S ROSE – Due to Jockey J Guthmann-Chester being unable to make the weight, he was replaced as per steward’s summary.
 
ELLASTRA – Jockey S Galloway, rider of ELLASTRA was fined $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on six occasions prior to 100m, one more than permitted.
 
 
 
Race 8: SCA Class 3 Handicap 1100 metres
 
DEFERENCE– Slow to begin.
 
WHITTINGTON WAYS– Bumped on jumping.
 
THE LIONESS– Bumped on jumping.
 
POETIC CHOICE– Returned having cast its off-front plate.
 
SHOW ME THE HONEY– Due to not having had a race start in over twelve months, it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to run. Raced in restricted room for a short distance approaching the 800m.
 
 
Race 9: VALE JOHN HENDERSON Class 5 Handicap 1400 metres
 
FOREIGN TERRITORY (NZ) – Slow into stride. Held up for a short distance between the 400m and 300m.
 
MR SO AND SO – Approaching the 1000m, got its head up when over racing. Near the 400m, eased when awkwardly placed on the heels of DYNAMIC THINKER.
 
DYNAMIC THINKER– Blundered on jumping. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the straight. Returned having cast its near-front plate.
 
PAY WITH CASH– Lost its offside hind plate and had to be reshod prior to the race. Slow to begin. Raced keenly when racing wide in the early stages.
 
INDIAN DREAMER – Slow into stride after jumping away awkwardly.
 
SECRET CONQUEST – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
 
Race 10: THE PALMS FESTIVE EDITIONS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap
1400 metres
 
ABRACADAZZLE – Slow to begin.
 
HAPPY BABE – Near the 900m steadied inwards away from the heels of BOLD PERFORMER which shifted in.
 
HOSTWIN TORONADO – Was momentarily held up near the 350m.
