RACE 1: CARPET CALL MAIDEN PLATE       2200 M

KIRORO PEAK (NZ) – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination, after racing at the Gold Coast on 4th November 2025.

WEEKEND ARTIST - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination, after racing at the Gold Coast on 4th November 2025.

CONTINENT– Obliged to race very wide around the home turn.

SEA ME DANCE (NZ)  – Raced a little ungenerously, with its head up in the early and middle stages. Apprentice J. Newman reported the mare was reluctant to settle early and raced keenly in the middle stages, and this may have had an affect on its performance. Noted to have lost its off-hind plate following the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

ZEDIQUETTE (NZ) – When questioned rider K.Zechner said as the mare had shown a tendency in the past to resent being restrained, he was given instructions to allow Zediquette to stride freely, with the expectation it would establish some distance on the remainder of the field. He added the mare travelled comfortably but was not assisted by SEA ME DANCE racing to its outside and just to its flanks, and passing the 500m commenced to weaken. Trainer J.Healy confirmed the instructions and racing pattern of the mare, indicating it would be his intention for Zediquette to be retired.

RACE 2: OCEAN TYRES GLADSTONE MAIDEN PLATE         1000 M

BETTA THAN PRESLEY - Bumped at the start. Passing the winning post, laid in onto the rail and became unbalanced.

JE REVE – Raced wide early.

BOMBARD – Rider A. Allen reported after beginning well, from the wide gate, his initial thought was the mare would be able to take the lead, however; when inside runners improved and he believed he did not have sufficient speed to cross, he elected to steady and try and find cover passing the 900m. He added on straightening, he was held up slightly before a run appeared to the inside of KOTOR BAY and after improving into that run, placed the mare under pressure, however; BOMBARD did not respond and went to the line only fairly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near foreleg. Representative for Trainer T.Gollan was advised the mare would require a veterinary clearance before racing/trialling again.

SPLICED – Resaddled at the start. Bumped with BETTA THAN PRESLEY at the start. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Inconvenienced approaching the 300m.

GOLDARNIE – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Bumped near the 300m.

KOTOR BAY – Approaching the 300m rolled out and contacted GOLDARNIE, which then shifted out and inconvenienced SPLICED.

RACE 3: TITAN GARAGES & SHEDS FILLIES & MARES BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP   1200 M

JUNGLE LAW – Slow into stride.

HOLLYWOOD EPIC – Raced three wide with cover throughout.

CHILLIWACK– Raced three wide throughout.

INNERVISIONS  – Began awkwardly. Approaching the 400m was galloped on by WARILLA GORILLA (App K.Lenton) and as a result went down behind and became unbalanced. In the incident, WARILLA GORILLA dipped and became badly unbalanced. App K. Lenton was severely reprimanded for failing to take appropriate action to restrain her mount to avoid contacting heels. Rider H. Van Der Hoven reported he believed a horse had contacted his heels and his mount did not feel right in its action for a short distance, before he was able to balance the gelding up and place it under pressure. Near the 150m was inconvenienced when SUM INVICTUS shifted out. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an abrasion to the off-side hock and was lame. Trainer’s representative T.Pollard was advised the gelding would require a veterinary clearance before racing/trialling again.

SUM INVICTUS  – Slow to begin. For a short distance approaching the 400m was held up for clear running. Passing the 300m was steadied from the heels of CANAVESE and shifted out to obtain clear running. Shifted out at the 150m and contacted INNERVSIONS.

WARILLA GORILLA – Began awkwardly. Approaching the 400m dipped and became unbalanced. Apprentice K. Lenton was severely reprimanded for failing to ride the gelding to the end of the race. In not taking any stronger action on this occasion, account was taken of her good record.

CANAVESE (NZ) – Laid in under pressure for the majority of the straight.
