SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

From Gold Coast 15/11/25 – Race 4:

Stewards concluded the inquiry into an incident approaching the 300m where the whip of rider D. Peisley (MAJESTIC BOOM) became entangled in the whip hand of rider A. Allen (ARATIRI) when racing tight; and the circumstances as to how he was able to regain his whip from A. Allen’s grasp. Evidence taken on the day from rider D. Peisley disclosed whilst using his whip in his right hand, it became entangled in the back of A. Allen’s whip hand and when the opportunity arose for him to regain it from A. Allen, he did so. Rider A. Allen explained when using his whip in his left hand, he felt the whip from D. Peisley become wedged in the back of his whip hand and as he believed the only way to try to release that whip, without losing control or even dropping his own whip, was to extend his arm away from his body, at which point, rider D. Peisley took his whip back. Both riders stated no words were spoken during the incident. Rider A. Allen acknowledged the extension of his arm towards D. Peisley, which afforded that rider the opportunity to regain his whip, did not present well and could be perceived as an integrity concern. On the balance of the evidence, the explanations tendered by both riders was accepted and no action was taken.
