GENERAL
Stewards approved the following overweight allowances at today’s meeting:
Race 2 – DREAM HOUR – S. Cormack +1kg (55kg)
Race 4 – VIDEO VIXEN – G. Cartwright +1kg (55kg)
The track was upgraded to a good 4 at 11:45am.
RACE 1:TOTAL TOOLS MAIDEN PLATE 1800M
CULTURAL ATTACHE – Declared a late withdrawal at 12:12pm when the gelding became fractious in the enclosure and flipped over. On the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on CULTURAL ATTACHE be refunded in full with the following deductions to apply:
1st – GYPSY WISH – 4c win, 7c place
2nd – OAKFIELD GALAXY – 4c place
3rd – ELEGANT FORCE – 5c place
Trainer A. Chau was advised the gelding would be required to Officially trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to next racing.
IRISH ACCOLADE – Stewards permitted the gelding to race without a tongue tie after it was lost leaving the enclosure and was unable to be replaced on arrival at the barriers.
ROCKET THREE – Slow to begin.
SCUTI – Stewards accepted trainer S. Morrisey’s reasons for the late declaration of the rider. Bumped on jumping. Raced keen early, shifted out leaving the 1200m and was permitted to stride to a position outside the leaders near the 900m. Raced wide throughout.
LITTLE LUNCH – App J. Newman reported the mare, which was second up from a spell, was obliged to take up a forward position, which in her opinion did not suit LITTLE LUNCH. She added when SCUTI improved to its outside near the 900m and maintained that position for some distance, her mount did not appreciate this, however; she was not dissatisfied with the overall performance.
PROUD MISS – Held up rounding the home turn.
ELEGANT FORCE – Began awkwardly. Raced keen early. Raced wide with cover for the majority. Obliged to race wider approaching and rounding the home turn.
GYPSY WISH – Trainer N. Luke was advised a warning would be placed on the filly for being difficult to load. Began awkwardly. Raced wide with cover for the majority.
RACE 2: DEWALT OPEN HANDICAP 1400M
SAILOR'S SECRET – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
DREAM HOUR – Slow to begin.
RACE 3: BOSTIK QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000M
MISHANI UNDERCOVER – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having not raced for an extended period.
MISHANI PLAYER – Resaddled on arrival at the barriers.
OAKFIELD MONTANA – Slow into stride and then bumped shortly after the start.
POWERWISE – Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide throughout.
THRASH A BULLY – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
THE GRAND DUCHY – Resaddled on arrival at the barriers.
MISHANI SENORITA – Raced wide without cover throughout.
RACE 4: THOROUGHBRED SALES MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200M
BIRDSVILLE BOY – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having not raced for an extended period. Slow to begin. Rider A. Butler could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
ARCHIE MAXIMUS – Began awkwardly and bumped LEAN WARRIOR. Raced wide without cover throughout.
CROKER – Required farrier attention in the tie-up stalls after shifting its off-hind plate. Underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers. Began awkwardly.
LEAN WARRIOR – Bumped on jumping.
ON THE THRONE – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Raced greenly under pressure in the homes straight
FLYING VISION – Reared as the start was effected and lost ground.
VIDEO VIXEN – As rider D. Turner was overweight, he was replaced by rider G. Cartwright. Stewards accepted rider Turner’s explanation for the overweight. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
UP OVER'N GONE – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
RACE 5: TOTAL TOOLS BENCHMARK 62 HANDICAP 1000M
SUTHERLAND – Raced wide without cover throughout.
BEE TWO – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
GEE EYE WHY – Bumped on jumping. Raced keen early.
RAIDERLICIOUS – After the race, was noted to have lost its near hind plate.
MARATHIA – Began awkwardly. Raced wide with cover for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
MISS FLEETWOOD – Began awkwardly and bumped. Raced wide with cover for the majority.
BAD FOREST – Raced keen early. App O. Kendal reported her mount laid in under pressure in the home straight.
SO BE INSPIRED – Hampered on jumping.
RACE 6: MAKITA BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1300M
PRIME ASSET – Held up rounding the home and had some difficulty obtaining a run on entering the home straight.
TOOLATEMATE – Change of tactics; intention to sit behind the pace. Settled in a midfield position.
YENDY – Raced wide for the majority.
FAIRWAY CHOICE – Lost its near-hind plate in running.
SUM INVICTUS – Trainer K. Goldman was fined $200 pursuant to LR67(1) for failing to declare a rider by the prescribed time.
FASVARA – Shifted in at the start and bumped FAYETTA.
FAYETTA – Bumped on jumping.
RACE 7: THOROUGHBRED SALES BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 2050M
MASTER COPY (IRE) – Began awkwardly. App J. Newman reported the gelding had to do a fair bit of early work to obtain a forward position, which was detrimental to its finishing efforts.
WATERMELON – Raced wide until approaching the 1400m.
HOT MAJESTY – Bumped on jumping. Near the 1200m steadied from the heels of MASTER COPY (App J. Newman), which after rolling out, shifted back in. App J. Newman was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) for this incident.
AMALGAMATION – Began awkwardly, bumped and was slow to muster early speed.
SHIRLEY PEARLY – Began awkwardly and bumped. Had difficulty obtaining clear running from passing the 400m and until the 250m.
ALDEENAARY (IRE) – Leaving the 2000m, steadied when racing in restricted room between RASHFORD and HOT MAJESTY, which shifted out and away from DREAM THINKER.
KALKANLI – Raced wide until the 1100m. Rider Y. Lewis pleaded guilty to a charge pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip on 10 occasions prior to the 100m (13 in totality). Rider Lewis’ license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days to commence midnight 28th March 2026 and to expire midnight 5th April 2026.
DREAM THINKER – Bumped on jumping.
RACE 8: BEAUDESERT ANZAC DAY RACEDAY RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP 1300M
BALTRAY – Approaching the 900m, steadied when tightened for room inside ODE TO BEAUTY, which was taken in by SUSSUSUDIO (G. Cartwright), which shifted in when not clear. Rider G. Cartwright was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) for this incident. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
BOLD AS BRASS – Held up rounding the home turn.
MINTO'S PRINCE – Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide throughout.
ZOODOO – Raced keenly in the middle stages.
EXOFLOW – Raced keenly in the early middle stages.
INQUISITOR – Began awkwardly.
ZHONGXIN KOALA – After the race, was noted to have lost its off fore plate.
ODE TO BEAUTY – Raced in restricted room for a short distance approaching the 900m.

IRON GRACE – Began awkwardly.
