Stewards approved the following overweight:
Race 5: J. Lloyd +0.5kg (56kg)
 
 
RACE 1: ROCKHAMPTON JC JULY 9TH MAIDEN HANDICAP 1800 M

BOOM DIGGITY - Presented to race in blinkers and not visors, which was part of the gelding’s approved gear. As a replacement pair of visors could not be found in sufficient time, Stewards permitted the gelding to race in blinkers. Trainer R. Tyrell was fined $100 purusant to AR106(2) for presenting the gelding to race in the incorrect gear.  
 
BOMB PERIGNON  - Began awkwardly. Passing the 500m was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SHOW’EM WHOS KING before shifting out to improve.

COCO'S THE DEEL - Held up from approaching the 400m until passing the 300m.

MISTER BLAZE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced keen early. Near the 500m awkwardly placed close to heels. For a short distance near the 400m was held up for clear running. When under pressure in the home straight laid in.
 
SEALORD (NZ) - Raced keen early. Raced wide rounding the home turn.

STEPLIKA LION – Slow to begin.  

HURDWICK STONE (NZ) - Began awkwardly and lost ground. Approaching the 500m, was bumped by MISTER BLAZE, which shifted out and away from the heels of COCO’S THE DEEL, which shifted slightly. Rider A. Allen reported his mount raced ungenerously throughout.


RACE 2: WARRNAMBOOL RC JULY 23RD QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE       1400 M        
 
On arrival at the barriers MY HOUSE was found to have blood in its left nostril, underwent a veterinary examination and was declared a late withdrawal on veterinary advice at 12:39pm.
 
Upon the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on MY HOUSE be refunded in full, with the following deductions to apply:
1st MISATO 0c win, 2c place
2nd SUBMARINE MISSION 1c place
3rd PRETTY SMASHING 6c place
 
Upon return to Trainer A. Chau’s stables, MY HOUSE underwent a veterinary examination, inclusive of an endoscopic scope and was found to have a small cut to the inside of its left nostril, which in the opinion of the attending Veterinarian, was the cause of the blood discharge prior to the race. The examination revealed there were no other apparent abnormalities with the gelding and MY HOUSE would be cleared to return to racing.

NEW MEXICO (NZ) - Slow to begin.

SUBMARINE MISSION - Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover from passing the 900m. When questioned regarding his riding of the gelding in the early stages, in particular his decision to shift to the outside of KING’S DIAMOND approaching the 800m, Apprentice J. Franklin explained he was instructed to have SUBMARINE MISSION in a handy position, with cover. He stated when he observed KING’S DIAMOND improving quickly to his outside, he allowed that gelding to cross  and settle his mount in the desired position, however; shortly after being crossed, KING’S DIAMOND came off the bridle and he believed the best option, rather than take a sit behind that gelding and upend his mount’s stride, was to shift to a three wide position, which gave him an uninterrupted run, bearing in mind he would be three-wide without cover. He further added that despite being wide, he was of the belief SUBMARINE MISSION, on its previous start, was the best horse in the race and would take the ground off MISATO in the straight. He added SUBMARINE MISSION did not let down as expected, albeit continuing to work to the winning post. After viewing footage of the race, in the presence of Apprentice Mentor M. Cahill, it was agreed App Franklin had erred in allowing KING’S DIAMOND, which was under strong riding, to cross and he should have held his position, in accordance with his instructions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

PERFECT CHARM - Began awkwardly and lost ground.

RACE 3: GRAFTON CUP JULY 16TH QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE       1015 M        
 
The running of this race was delayed three (3) minutes when LILI ANNA refused to load. Subsequently the filly was declared a late withdrawal at 1:17pm.
 
Upon the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on MY HOUSE be refunded in full, with the following deductions to apply:
1st STARLIGHTING 1c win 2c place
2nd EMPHATIQUE 2c place
3rd THE GRAND DUCHY 2c place
 
Trainer N. Beck was advised LILI ANNA would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate in Official trial prior to racing again.

MONGOLIAN SPRING (NZ) – Began awkwardly.

NOT TELLING – Rolled out passing the 800m obliging THE GRAND DUCHY to race wider.

PARADING GUS - When under pressure in the early part of the straight laid out.

STARLIGHTNING - Raced greenly when under pressure in the straight.

THE GRAND DUCHY – Raced keen and wide without cover from passing the 800m.

EMPHATIQUE - Began awkwardly and lost ground. Held up for clear running from passing the 500m until near the 300m.

KAMIGAMO (NZ) – Slow to muster early speed.                   

RACE 4: GOONDIWINDI RC JULY 18TH CLASS 2 HANDICAP  1015 M         

AMERICAN CONQUEST   - Had difficulty obtaining clear running the early part of the straight.

KIRKSVILLE - Raced wide with cover throughout.      
 
HI TIAGO - Began awkwardly and lost ground.

ZAINDARA - Contacted on the hindquarters leaving the barriers.
 
TWOEXCEL - Began awkwardly and contacted the hindquarters of ZAINDARA. Held up for clear running from approaching the 400m until the 150m.

CAT CALL - Raced wide without cover for the majority.
 
AUTUMNGIRL – Held up for clear running from passing the 400m until the 250m. Near the 150m checked. Approaching the 50m, steadied when tightened between CHERRABAH and GRAM, both of which shifted ground slightly and then went to the line without being tested.       
 
Apprentice B. Youngberry(GRAM) pleaded guilty to a charge pursuant to AR131(a) in that passing the 150m she permitted her mount to shift in under riding, carrying AUTUMNGIRL in onto towards the heels of CHERRABAH, resulting in AUTUMNGIRL being checked and losing its rightful running. Apprentice B. Youngberry’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of seven (7) days to begin midnight 12th July 2026 and conclude midnight 19th July 2026. In assessing penalty, account was taken of the QRIC Carless Riding Penalty guidelines.
 

RACE 5: TASMANIAN RC JULY 19TH OPEN HANDICAP          1800 M

THE RIGHT WAY (NZ) - Near the 1100m was momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of CHAYSE ‘N’ ARTIE (J. Lloyd), which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. Rider J. Lloyd was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding.
 
GALANO - Checked approaching the 1000m. Apprentice J. Newman reported she was asked to settle in a handy position. She said after beginning well, she stoked the gelding up, where her mount then raced keen and consequently, she allowed the gelding stride and settle in the lead.
 
CHAYSE 'N' ARTIE – In the early stages raced wide without cover before being ridden forward to take the lead near the 1100m. Passing the 50m rolled out contacting LEG DRIVE.

LEG DRIVE  - Raced keen early and making the crossing passing the 1500m steadied from the heels of THE RIGHT WAY (App A. Graham), which shifted in when not quite clear. Apprentice A. Graham was advised to exercise more care. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Passing the 50m was contacted by CHAYSE ’N’ ARTIE, which rolled out. Rider F. Larson reported his mount laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
OCTOBER (NZ) – Began awkwardly and lost ground.

BOVIDAE  - Began awkwardly.  
 
PICKO ROCKS - Slow to begin.  
 
Rider J. Lloyd(CHAYSE ‘N’ ARTIE) pleaded guilty to a charge pursuant to AR131(a) in that approaching the 1000m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of GALANO resulting in that runner losing its rightful running and being checked. Rider J. Lloyds’ license to ride in races was suspended for a period of eleven (11) days with the suspension to commence midnight 13th July 2026 and conclude midnight 24th July 2026. In assessing penalty, account was taken of the QRIC Careless Riding Penalty guidelines.
 

RACE 6: KILCOY RC AUGUST 10TH BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP   1800 M        

WATERMELON      - Raced wide early.

SUN TOPAZE – From the 500m laid out proving difficult for App C. Bellamy to ride out properly.  

UNIQUELY FAMOUS (FR) - At the 1500m crossing, shifted out and bumped AMAZIGH TORQUE on the hindquarters. In the early and middles stages raced keenly.
 
NOTES (NZ) - Held up from passing the 400m until near the 100m, before again being held up and went to the end of the race without being fully tested.
 
AMAZIGH TORQUE – Bumped on the hindquarters passing the 1500m.  


RACE 7: WARWICK TC AUGUST 4TH BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP   1400 M        

BRUCKHEIMER – Began awkwardly. Rider B. Wheeler reported he had concerns with the geldings’ performance and after being pressure approaching the home turn, elected to ease his mount down from the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer A. Campton was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding for its poor performance.

PRESSALONG – Began awkwardly.               
 
DAVIKAR      - Apprentice J. Franklin reported it was not his intention to be so far forward, however; after beginning well and with no effort on his part, the mare settled much closer to expected. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

TOOLATEMATE - Raced three-wide without cover from the 900m.

OUR ORATOR - Stood flat-footed at the start and lost ground (3L). Trainer P. Busuttin was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding.


RACE 8: BECOME A MEMBER TODAY RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP        1400 M        
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight rider A. Allen viewed the Official footage in the home straight. After doing so A. Allen elected not to lodge an objection.


CONEY ISLAND BABY - Difficult to load, delaying the start. Began awkwardly. Trainer B. Mackie was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding for being difficult to load.
 
HANG OUT  - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination having not raced for an extended period.
 
RED CODE   - Near the 900m contacted the rail when tightened by LENNYSTAR, which was taken in slightly by ALL TO FOXY (A. Butler), which shifted in when not clear. Rider A. Butler was severely reprimanded purusant to AR131(a) for careless riding. Rider D. McGillvray could offer no explanation for the performance, other then the interference suffered near the 900m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

BADDA BOOM BABY – Began awkwardly.

HIDDEN FUTURE   - For a short distance approaching the 400m, was awkward on the heels of ALL ABOUT MARTIE and steadied. Near the 250m disappointed for a run, steadied and shifted out.
 
MONTE CARLO MISS – In the early part of the home straight had difficulty obtaining clear running. When making good ground passing the 100m, was hampered and tightened between ALL TOO FOXY, which shifted out slightly and GOODNIGHT ROMEO, which was taken in by CONEY ISLAND BABY, which shifted in when rider H. Shaw momentarily lost the use of his near side rein. In the incident GOODNIGHT ROMEO was steadied.

MILEY'S MEMORY - Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout. Eased down from the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
GOODNIGHT ROMEO - Contacted the rail passing the 1000m. Steadied passing the 100m.
