Stewards approved the following over weights:

As rider B. Wheeler was unable to obtain a medical clearance, he was replaced as per the race day summary.
 
 
Race 1 - KIT LOVES A ROUGHIE MAIDEN HANDICAP          1700 M
 
ECHO ZULU - Began awkwardly and bumped with ALBEBULAN. Approaching the 1600m, became unbalanced when bumped on the hind quarters.

TISANI JAMES – Raced keen in the lead. Rider K. Yoshida reported after beginning well over a longer distance and with little effort on his behalf, the gelding settled in the lead.
 
ALKEBULAN - Began awkwardly and bumped with ECHO ZULU. Approaching the 1600m raced in restricted room between ECHO ZULU and FIVE OF US (F. Larson) and steadied. Rider F. Larson was notified he would be expected to make a greater effort to correct his mounts in similar circumstances. In the incident ECHO ZULU became unbalanced when bumped on the hind quarters. Raced keen early. Laid in when under pressure in the straight.
 
ELROY – Raced keen early. Rider G. Cartwright could offer no explanation for the poor performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed cardiac arrythmia for the first time. Trainer K. Anderson was notified ELROY would require a veterinarian certificate inclusive of (a) an electrocardiography (ECG) of more than 60 seconds duration performed by that veterinarian whilst the horse is at rest; and (b) a cardiac auscultation performed by that veterinarian within 15 minutes of the horse completing a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 metres, before racing again.
 
OAKFIELD GALAXY – Began awkwardly.


Race 2 - NAZERO BOYS MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000 M
 
KING OF VALHALLA – Near the 900m momentarily steadied when tightened by TEXAS, which was taken in slightly by JOHNNY THE FOX (D. Peisley). Rider D. Peisley was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Laid in passing the 400m.

MAGIC INVADER – For a short distance approaching the 700m, hung in. Laid in under pressure in the straight. Near the 50m laid out slightly towards the heels of DIRTY HARRY, which was shifting in and momentarily steadied. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Trainer C. Anderson was notified the gelding would require a veterinary clearance, inclusive of an endoscopic examination, prior to racing again and that a warning would be placed on the gelding for its racing manners.
 
FLAMIN' DREAMIN' – Passing the 900m contacted the rail when racing tight to the inside of MAGIC INVADER, which was momentarily tightened by CAPTAIN BLOOD before that horse shifted out. Passing the 700m, checked when tightened by MAGIC INVADER, which hung in and away from CAPTAIN BLOOD, which in turn was laying in and away from KING OF VALHALLA. In the circumstances, no action was taken against any one rider.
 
CAPTAIN BLOOD – Laid in, in the middle stages. Passing the 500m was contacted and taken out by MAGIC INVADER, which shifted out when racing keenly. Passing the 400m was buffeted and steadied when racing between MAGIC INVADER and KING OF VALHALLA, which was laying in.


Race 3 - NAZERO LADS BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP          1800 M
 
CHAYSE 'N' ARTIE - Laid in approaching the 300m.  
 
MISHANI WITNESS – Fractious in the barriers. Began awkwardly and bumped heavily with DREAM THINKER, which then shifted out hampering OLD SONG. Raced wide early. Apprentice F. Sandkuhl reported after racing three wide without cover early, she allowed the gelding to stride and sit outside the lead.  
 
DREAM THINKER   - Bumped heavily at the start. Approaching the 400m, steadied when attempting a doubtful run between GOT YOURSELF A GUN and DRACENA, which shifted out slightly.
 
BRAIN WAVE - Near the 300m disappointed for a run between MISHANI WITNESS and CHAYSE ‘N’ ARTIE, which laid in, steadied and shifted in to obtain clear running. Rider A. Thompson was fined $100 purusant to AR132(6)(b) in that he used his whip in an action above shoulder height on four separate occasions. 
 
OLD SONG –Hampered on jumping. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Laid out when under pressure in the home straight.


Race 4 - NAZERO OPEN HANDICAP    1400 M
 
BLITZBURG - Got its head up when the gates opened and lost ground. Raced keen early and got its head up when being steadied from heels.
 
CAPE CRUSADER  - Approaching the 300m, steadied and shifted to the outside of THE CATCH to obtain clear running.
 
LITTLE BEGINNINGS - Raced keen outside the leader early.
 

Following the running of this race, the track was upgraded to a Good 4 at 2:49pm.
 
 
Race 5 - JCD EARTHMOVING PTY LTD CLASS 4 HANDICAP          1000 M
 
PARETO – Raced four wide throughout, without cover

THE BEAR - Raced three wide throughout, without cover.
 
MISHANI EXTREME- Raced three wide throughout with cover. When being steadied passing the 700m, laid out across the heels of PARETO when racing in restricted room between PARETO, which shifted in slightly; and THE BEAR, which was taken out slightly by THE GAMBLING GREEK. Laid in under pressure over the final 150m.
 
AMERICAN CONQUEST - Began very awkwardly and bumped MISHANI EXTREME. Held up for clear running from passing the 500m until approaching the 300m. Passing the winning post was tightened by JUNGLE LAW, which received some pressure from ZOUTHUR (Apprentice J. Hampson). Apprentice J. Hampson was advised to exercise more care.
 
DONT CALL ME HONEY   - Slow into stride.


Race 6 - JCD & SON'S CLASS 2 HANDICAP   1200 M
 
CARNEGIE HILL - Raced three-wide without cover, throughout. After the race was noted to have lost the near fore plate.
 
CHAMPAGNE LANE – Laid out under pressure over the final 200m. 

IMMEDIATE - Slow into stride.
 
CARBONARA – Shifted ground under pressure passing the 200m. Rider D. Peisley reported it was not his intention to lead, however; after the mare began better than expected and to take advantage of the good jump, he elected to go forward and take the lead.
 
SO BE INSPIRED - Raced keen the majority.
 
WALLY'S BOY – Began awkwardly.

CALVARY – Began awkwardly.


Race 7 - FITTA DIESEL SERVICES BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP   1400 M
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Apprentice M. Apel (CHICAGO KING) viewed the Stewards patrol footage of the final 300m.
 
CHICAGO KING – Shifted in abruptly on jumping.
 
DUKE OF CAMDEN – On leaving the gates became unbalanced when bumped by TILL DUSK. Raced keen in the middle stages. When racing tight with CHICAGO KING near the 50m, was brushed by TILL DUSK, which rolled in before being straightened.  
 
I STOLE IT - Raced keen; in the middle stages.
 
TILL DUSK - Bumped with DUKE OF CAMDEN on jumping.

ARGENTUM ROCK - Rider F. Larson reported it was not his intention to lead, however; as the gelding was fresh and began well from the wide gate; and to avoid being caught wide, he allowed his mount to stride and settle in the lead.       
 
TAMBOURINE MAN - After being slow to begin, was hampered when I STOLE IT was carried in by CHICAGO KING, which shifted in abruptly.


Race 8 - PROTON EVENTS PLATINUM RACEDAY 2026 RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP  1000 M
 
The running of this race was delayed approximately three (3) minutes when SHAPIN POWER refused to load. Subsequently, Stewards declared SHAPIN POWER a late withdrawal at 5:18pm.

Upon the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on SHAPIN POWER, be refunded in full, with the following deductions to apply:

1st ZAVEGA 2c win 2c place
2nd SUNSET ADIOS  4c place
3rd EXTREME SPIRIT  3c place
 
Trainer A. Plumb was advised SHAPIN POWER would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to racing again.
 
I AM GONE  - Raced four wide without cover in the early and middle stages.

ZAVEGA – Shortly after the start blundered when bumped by AETERNUM, which shifted in despite rider Y. Lewis attempting to straighten the gelding.   
 
SUNSET ADIOS - Held up for clear running from passing the 400m before then securing a neat run near the 250m.
 
VIDEO VIXEN – Began awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have bled from both nostrils on the first occasion. Trainer K. Clark-Peoples was advised of the provisions of AR79(4).
 
EXTREME SPIRIT – Stood flat footed (10L). Co-Trainer M. Sears was advised the gelding would be required to Officially trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.
 
DASHING HOPE – Slow to begin.
