SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:
Stewards declared LADY PEMBROKE (race 3) a late scratching at 9.30am due to no rider being available.
Race 1: VALENTINE’S DAY B’MARK 60 HCP 850m
RAHULA – Raced wide throughout.
CAMDEN QUEEN – Raced wide throughout. Hung out rounding the home turn.
HIDDEN DUCK - Stewards afforded Apprentice J. King the opportunity to comment on the disappointing performance. Rider stated the gelding hung out for the majority of the race and failed to negotiate the tight turning track. Trainer N. King added that when HIDDEN DUCK is unable to obtain the lead in its races the gelding fails to put in its best efforts. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Race 2: BIRALEE RACEDAY 7TH MARCH CLASS B HCP 1194m
COPPER THIEF – Declared a late scratching at 2:02pm acting on veterinary advice after the gelding was kicked by another runner behind the barriers causing a laceration. Trainer B. Johnson was advised that a veterinary certificate must be produced before being permitted to race again. All monies invested on COPPER THIEF ordered to be refunded, with the following deductions applicable.

HIDDEN BEACH – Slow to begin. Near the 300m shifted in and bumped ALL BAR THE JEWELS.
ALL BAR THE JEWELS – Bumped near 300m.
Race 3: TOTAL EDEN QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
TREPIDATION – Tightened for room at the start.
MISS SAPPY – Hung out rounding the home turn forcing BREWING MAGIC wider on the track.
BREWING MAGIC – Forced wider on the track rounding the home turn.
IRONOUTLAW – Inclined to shift in under pressure in the home straight.
Race 4: BARCOO B’MARK 70 HCP 1000m
The start of this race was delayed when FLIGHT COMMAND broke through the front of its barrier and galloped a short distance before being quickly restrained by its rider and returned to the barriers.
No racing incidents.
Race 5: MCCOSKER CONTRACTING B’MARK 55 HCP 1517m
STRIKE ZONE – Began awkwardly.
RYTARGA – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
RUNNING WILD – Had to be steadied when approaching the winning post on the first occasion when tightened for room between WOLF HUNTER which shifted out slightly and MISHANI PAGAN which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. Stewards however mindful that WOLF HUNTER had shifted out slightly, nevertheless advised App N. Vuille to exercise greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
WOLF HUNTER – Steadied when forced to race in restricted room and shifted in and away from RUNNING WILD near the 300m and made contact with the running rail. App N. Summers was reprimanded for shifting ground and causing interference.
