SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Stewards conducted an inquiry into an incident involving licensed jockey Tasha Chambers, following an allegation of misconduct towards an official of the Rockhampton Jockey Club during the meeting held on the 20th June 2025. Stewards, after considering all evidence and submissions, determined that no formal charges would be laid, however, firmly reminded jockey Chambers of her professional obligations under the rules of racing. Jockey Chambers was advised that she must conduct herself in a respectful and professional manner at all times while attending race meetings, particularly in her interactions with race day officials. Any future instances of misconduct may result in disciplinary action.

Apprentice Meissner added that she was aware that IMMORTAL LASS tended to shift ground, particularly inwards towards the rail, therefore she allowed her mount to stride forward and travel where comfortable in the hope that her mount did not shift any ground. Apprentice Meissner further added that when upon entering the home straight, the mare shifted inwards abruptly despite her efforts and contacted the inside running rail which in her opinion was detrimental to its chances over the final stages.

Jockey Taylor further added that due to the saddle shifting, SPITZBERG was inclined to overrace in the early stages, therefore he elected to stay wide until he could obtain a safe position closer to the remainder of the field.
