RACE 1: QUBE PORTS BENCHMARK 50 H’CAP 1200M-
 
GOING GREY- Slow to begin. Jockey C Franklin reported that after being slowly away the mare settled further back in the field then he anticipated. He added that during the middle stages he was awkwardly placed inside the heels of other runners which were not improving into the race which meant he was unable to improve into the race when he wished to. He went on to say that over the concluding stages when able to secure clear running the mare ran on well. Stewards noted the explanation.
 
POP’S SON- Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
ZAHA COUNTY- Bumped at the start.
 
COOL STINGER- After being caught wide in the early stages, was ridden forward to assume a position outside the leader near the 750m.
 
WILD BOYS- Raced wide throughout.
 
RACE 2: WAGNERS MAIDEN PLATE 1200M-
 
SUPREME SPIRIT- Began awkwardly and shifted wider on the track. Raced wide throughout.
 
DRUMMLE- Began awkwardly bumping another runner.
 
AVATAR ROAD- Slow to begin.
 
RACE 3: GRAINCORP CLASS B HCAP 1400 M
 
MAKE NO MISTAKE- Over raced in the early stages.
 
OUR CHARLOTTE- Raced wide throughout.
 
PARELEMA- Raced wide throughout.
 
RAHDANE- Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Raced ungenerously during the early and middle stages.
 
BRUBAKER- Began awkwardly.
 
RACE 4: PORT OF BRISBANE CUP BENCHMARK 70 HCAP 1400M
As apprentice D Graham was indisposed after riding in race 3, she was replaced as the rider of HIGHTOWER by jockey S Apthorpe as there was no other apprentice available at the required weight. Apprentice Graham was advised she will require a Medical Clearance prior to next riding.
 
HABSBURG- Began awkwardly.
 
COOL RULES- Steadied from heels when crossed by HIGHTOWER near the 1200m. Jockey Apthorpe the rider of HIGHTOWER was advised to exercise more care.
 
RACE 5: INTERLINK BENCHMARK 60 HCAP 1000M
 
The start was delayed whilst kangaroo’s, which were observed in the infield, were driven off course.
 
The start was further delayed when THE ROBBER proved difficult to load.
 
WHERE’S EMMA- Raced wide throughout.
 
HIDDEN DUCK- Raced wide throughout.
 
LWAZI- Raced wide throughout.
 
NEWCASTLE DANCER- Hung in during the early and middle stages.
