Ms Jessop advised that she had a handy barrier and once she gained a forward position and was challenged by SHOT DOWN BY LOVE, she had trouble restraining the horse. Stewards spoke with Trainer Mr P Rice who advised his riding instructions were to take a forward position. Mr Rice also advised that when his horse is challenged in front he will fire up and prove difficult to ride. He will consider taking the blinkers off for SENSE OF HUMOUR’S next start. Mr Rice advised the horse pulled up very well post-race. Jky M Kennedy advised that she was always intending to attempt to be positive and lead from the wide gate. She said she was happy with the way the gelding raced and fought on over the final stages of the event. Stewards spoke with Trainer Ms A Reedy regarding the performance of her horse. She stated that she gave Jky Kennedy no riding instructions, just to be positive and that she was stepping the horse up in distance. Ms Reedy advised she was happy with the ride of Ms Kennedy’s.
