Race 1: TIARO MEATS & BACON BM60 Handicap 850 metres
 
VICEMAN – Began awkwardly. Raced three wide with cover throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
CRISSCROSS – Tightened for room between runners on jumping and lost ground.
 
OYASHIO – Shortly after the start was bumped by TRUE TALLY which shifted out and as a result was awkwardly placed at heels, steadied and lost ground. Raced wide throughout. Rider D Simmons reported that the gelding resented the kickback when trailing the field. A post-race veterinary examination did not identify any abnormal findings.
 
LYTAFYRE – Laid out rounding the home turn and made contact with MASTER DENRHO.
 
FAV'S FLYER – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
GHABBIE – Began awkwardly. Resented the kickback when crossed by runners.
 
MASTER DENRHO – Bumped rounding the home turn.
 
TRUE TALLY – Shortly after the start shifted out away from MASTER DENRHO and was bumped on the hind quarters by CRISSCROSS and became unbalanced. A short distance later was then steadied when placed in restricted from between OYASHIO and MASTER DENRHO which shifted out. Jockey M Crawford (MASTER DENRHO) was severely reprimanded under AR131(a) and was advised in future to straighten his mount sooner when they commence to shift ground. App. S Stephen advised that the gelding resented the kickback when crossed by runners and failed to respond to her riding in the early and middle stages of the event.
 
Race 2: GYMPIE SEPTIC PUMP OUTS TAKING CARE OF 'BUSINESS' Maiden Plate 1170 metres
 
BARON SEMEDI – Buffeted between runners on jumping.
 
BARONET – Tightened between runners shortly after the start and lost ground. Performed below market expectation, App Z Sprie reported that after being tightened the gelding resented the kickback and as a result was placed further back than he anticipated. A post-race veterinary examination did not identify any abnormal findings. A post-race swab was also taken for analysis.
 
CATERHAM – Raced wide throughout and weakened from the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination did not identify any abnormal findings. Trainer T Hong could offer no explanation to the poor performance however advised that he will be considering the geldings racing future with his stable.
 
ALL IN SYNC – Fractious in the barriers. Rider R Fraeh lost his whip on jumping. Raced wide throughout.
 
MADAME TESS – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
RIVERINA RIDGE – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
EASY ROCKER – Tightened between runners on jumping and lost ground. Stewards accepted the explanation of trainer P Duff regarding the late declaration of a rider App S Stephan.
 
 
Race 3: MARG COCHRANE REAL ESTATE QTIS BM50 Handicap 1170 metres
 
MISTER WARD – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. App Dillon reported that the gelding hung out for the majority and raced greenly in the home straight.
 
JOEL – Steadied shortly after the start when awkwardly placed at the heels of LEMON DUCHESS which shifted out abruptly.
 
DUKATTI – Raced wide throughout. Over the concluding stages raced in restricted room and was steadied.
 
STORMTROOPER – Near the 900m raced in restricted room.
 
RISALDAR – Buffeted between runners on jumping.
 
NICHOLAS ADAM – Slow to begin. Resented the kickback.
 
MALVAGIO – Near the 900m raced in restricted room for a short distance.
 
MISS READY NOW – Buffeted between runners on jumping. Raced wide throughout. Weakned from the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination identified abrasions to it’s off hind leg indicative of being galloped on.
 
LEMON DUCHESS – Shortly after the start shifted out abruptly.
 
RED HANA – Slow to begin. Resented the kickback when trailing the field. Trainer D Gardiner advised Stewards that the mare had bled from both nostrils. Stewards advised that the horse would incur a 3 month ban from racing and must undertake a 1000m gallop to the satisfaction of Stewards before being permitted to race again. AR79(4).
 
Race 4: JustBoards.com.au OPEN Handicap 1170 metres
 
NEW ALLIANCE – Raced wide in the early stages. 
 
KENTFORD – Hampered on jumping.
 
CRAFTY AQUILA – Bumped on the hind quarters jumping and became unbalanced. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
TURBO TEDDY – Blundered on jumping.
 
AMUTHON – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
PETITE ELLE – Rider C Meehan reported that after beginning well from the inside barrier he permitted the mare to stride forward and take up a leading position.  
 
Race 5: BRAD JOHNS PLUMBING BM45 Handicap 1470 metres
 
DESTINATION ROCKS – Slow to begin.
 
CALDWELL – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
FEARLESS QUEEN – Blundered on jumping and lost ground. Rounding the home turn shifted out to obtain clear running and made contact with MAGIC PANTHER.
 
MAGIC PANTHER – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Bumped by FEARLESS QUEEN.
 
PRESTISSIMO – Raced wide throughout. Rider R Faehr reported that the gelding resented the kickback and failed to respond to his riding and in his opinion did not appreciate today’s heavy track conditions.
 
PRIOR ENGAGEMENT – Rider B Newport reported that the gelding did not appreciate today’s racing surface.
 
KHALIJA DREAMING – Tightened between runners on jumping and lost ground.
 
SANDY TOES – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn. Near the 50m improved onto heels and shifted out.
 
EVRYNOW'N'THEN – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 6: GYMPIE MAZDA BM65 Handicap 1470 metres
 
SHINNECOCK – Proved difficult to load and became fractious in the barriers. Post-race App L Dillion reported to Stewards that she made heavy contact with her left elbow to the barriers when the gelding became fractious.
 
BLONDE'S DAY OUT – Fractious in the barriers. Raced wide throughout.
 
TRACKMAN (NZ) - A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding identified the gelding to be lame in the off fore leg. Stable representatives were advised that the stable will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance prior to the horse racing or trialing again.
