GENERAL
 
 
Race 1: GET WELL LIFE MEMBER JOHN PULHAM BENCHMARK 45 Handicap - Base Rating 35 (850 METRES)
 
VIZONE – Resented the sand kickback during the early stages and near the 400m was shifted wider and raced wide from that point onwards.
 
RISING SPIRIT – Blundered on jumping. Raced wide throughout.
 
FREE LUNCH – Declared a late scratching at 1:20pm after becoming fractious in the enclosure, making heavy contact with the fence and dislodging H Richardson. Jockey Richardson suffered a right knee injury and was transported to hospital. On the declaration of correct weight all monies invested on FREE LUNCH were ordered to be refunded and deductions were ordered on all successful bets of 26c the win and 25c the place.

Race 2: BECOME A MEMBER Class B Handicap - Base Rating 38 (Scaled +3kg) (1170 METRES)
 
HURRICANE HALL – T Banks replaced H Richardson who was injured in race 1. T Banks reported that after shifting in near the 850m his mount weakened from that point until the 300m as it resented the sand kickback.
 
LUMERAI – Steadied when racing in restricted room when wide near the 1000m and shifted in to obtain cover.
 
Race 3: THANKS TO THE VOLUNTEERS QTIS Maiden Plate (1030 METRES
 
 
THE STORM – Slow to begin. Forced extremely wide near the 850m
 
CANNY BOY – Forced extremely wide near the 850m.
 
LARRIKIN REG – Slow to begin. Hung out near the 850m causing interference to other runners. Connections advised that the gelding must trial before racing again.
 
NEW ARRIVAL – Became fractious in the barriers and was examined by the vet before being cleared to start. Slow to begin.
 
MA DUSHKA – Stewards gave permission for G Steele to ride +1kg overweight. Extremely slow to begin. Resented the sand kickback.
 
Race 4: VALE JACK MURRAY BURNETT TO THE BEACH BENCHMARK 55 Handicap - Base Rating 45 (1030 METRES
 
GREY SKIES – Reared as the start was affected and lost significant ground. Raced wide throughout.
 
NINE CIGARS – M Butler replaced H Richardson who was injured in race 1
 
INVANESS – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 5: CIVILIVIC PTY LTD BENCHMARK 60 Handicap - Base Rating 50 (1470m)
 
NORTHERN WOODS (NZ) – M Butler replaced H Richardson who was injured in race 1
