GENERAL
 
Race 1 – WELCOME TO GYMPIE TURF CLUB 0-50 HANDICAP 1030 M

MASTER MIYAGI – Commenced to hang out from the 900m and near the 800m blundered before being restrained from the event by its rider. Examined by the vet and found to be lame in the off foreleg due to a sesamoid injury. Acting on veterinary advice Trainer M Park was advised to have x-rays performed to assess the injury and report the findings to stewards.      
 
Race 2 – THANK YOU GYMPIE TURF CLUB COMMITTEE MEMBERS BM70 HANDICAP 1030 M
 
TAVANASIA – Slow to begin.

Race 3 – SUPPORT COUNTRY RACE CLUBS QTIS MAIDEN HANDICAP 1170 M
 
BOBBY’S MY MATE – Declared a late scratching on veterinary advise at 3:05pm, after attempting to go under the front gates of the barriers and becoming cast. Upon the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on BOBBY’S MY MATE, be refunded in full and all successful bets be deducted 37c for win bets and 31c for place bets. Trainer T Thomas was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate for BOBBY’S MY MATE prior to the gelding racing again.

SPARKLING LINES – Raced ungenerously throughout and weakened over the concluding stages. Trainer G Blake was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly.
 
BUTLER CABIN – Slow to begin.      
 
BUGBEAR – Slow to begin.

Race 4 – THE BEST RACES ARE IN COUNTRY PLACES BM55 HANDICAP 1170 M
 
DUKE OF LANCASTER – Slow to begin.

MERCHANT MOON – Raced ungenerously in the home straight.
 
Race 5 - ELITE LIFESTYLE PROPERTIES CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1400 M
