GENERAL
1. The following runner was declared a late scratching at 12:45pm due to no rider being available:
Race 3. No 16. DOONA
2. Trainer Steven Royes was questioned regarding the scratching of VANCOUVER BAY from Race 6. In response, Trainer Royes stated that VANCOUVER BAY was dually nominated for today’s event as well as a race on Tuesday the 4th of November at Townsville and after consideration, elected to scratch from Home Hill in preference for Tuesday at Townsville. The explanation was noted.
3. During the running of Race 5, the barriers when being reversed off the track, suffered damage and consequently were unable to be fully removed off the outside of the course proper. All runners at the completion of the event passed the barriers with ample room and with no incident. Following the event, staff completed remedial work and testing on the barriers and were then used for Race 6 without incident.
