GENERAL

Apprentice O. Webb was unable to attend today’s meeting due to illness, changes were made as per the Stewards summary. Apprentice Webb was advised a medical clearance would be required prior to racing again.



Trainer W. Baker was reprimanded under the provisions of AR227(a) for failing to ensure that both Jockey N. Fazackerley and Apprentice J. Devine were aware of their riding engagements following Mr Baker declaring both riders on emergencies. When both riders were unable to fulfill their engagements due to acceptable reasons, changes were made as per the Stewards’ Race-day Summary. In assessing the matter, Stewards noted Mr Baker’s record in relation to the rule and general circumstances of the matter.



Race 1: LANGTON RURAL SERVICES & RURAL INSURANCE SERVICES QTIS MAIDEN PLT (1000m)



JEROME – Slow to begin.



SIR OCCY – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after racing at Thangool on Monday, 9 June 2025 and was cleared to start. Raced wide for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.





Race 2: SUFFCON / IOR PETROLEUM BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP (1000m)



SUISSE SCANDAL (NZ) – Trainer P. Randall was reprimanded under the provisions of AR104(1) for failing to present the gelding with the cross-over noseband, part of its approved gear. Raced wide for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.



FLUDWAY – Began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. Bumped the inside running rail soon after the start.



EDWARDS – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.



IDHANA – Began awkwardly and bumped.



SQUAMISH – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled both nostrils for the first occasion. Trainer W. Baker was advised of the provisions of AR79(4). Raced wide for the majority.



DEFINITELY FAMOUS – Bumped on jumping. Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages when awkwardly placed on heels and was unable to be fully tested over the final stages.



FRIDAY'S JET – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.



LIGHT UP THE DAWN – Hung in under pressure in the home straight.



THE UPRISING – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Tailed the field throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a tendon injury to the off-foreleg. Trainer C. Rogers was advised that the gelding would require a veterinary clearance inclusive of an ultrasound prior to completing a trial to the satisfaction of Stewards.



Race 3: INJUNE CYPRESS / BLACK TOYOTA / SENEX ENERGY BENCHMARK 55 (1200m)



TRANSCELTIC – Raced wide for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the home straight and bumped TERAMBI near the 150m.



DELUXE LEGEND – Raced wide for the majority. When asked to comment on the performance, Jockey J. Missen advised that in his opinion, the gelding resented the kickback in running. He added when leaving the 500m the gelding became uncomfortable in its action and elected to ease his mount down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.



TERAMBI – Bumped near the 150m when TRANSCELTIC laid in.



NOTQUITELIKEJACK – Began awkwardly and lost ground.



AREYA TUCHUZY – Began awkwardly. Obliged to alter course near the 100m when TRANSCLETIC laid in under pressure.



ROX’N’ROL – Stewards permitted Apprentice M. Mankelow to claim 2kg of her 3kg allowance due to the late rider alteration.



DUN WITH ROSES – Bumped the inside running rail near the 1000m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.





Race 4: TOP X ROMA 2025 BATTLE OF THE BUSH INJUNE QUALIFIER OPEN PLATE (1200m)



MAMARAGAN – Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost ground. Trainer R. Hay was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record.



MOMACK – Crowded soon after the start. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Shifted out off heels near the 50m to obtain clear running.



PARKO – Bumped on jumping.



FLANK SPEED – Raced wide for the majority.



MAN IN THE MIRROR – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after racing at Thangool on Monday, 9 June 2025 and was cleared to start. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Bumped near the 100m.



SUNFALL – Began awkwardly. Bumped near the 100m. Laid in over the concluding stages and became awkwardly placed on the heels of PARKO.



INVICTUS LAD – Slow to begin.



Following the running of this race, Apprentice S. Robbins was examined by QAS officers after being stuck in the mouth by a rock and deemed fit to fulfill her remaining engagement.





Race 5: 2025 NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS INJUNE CUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP (1400m)



KAZZA'S JET – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.



TRICKY BEANS – Raced wide for the majority.



STARHATTAN – Momentarily steadied and shifted in to obtain clear running near the 50m when BASIL’S BOW laid in.



BASIL'S BOW – Raced wide for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.



MAURICE'S MEDAD – Held-up for clear running near the 100m.



LIP SIP SUK – Slow to begin. When asked to comment on the performance, Apprentice T. Orr advised that in his opinion, the gelding failed to handle the kick-back. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.



DESERT STAR – Over-raced in the early stages and was steadied off the heels of BASIL’S BOW near the 1100m. Continued to race keenly in the middle stages.



OAKFIELD TARGET – Slow to begin.
