SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Trainer Mr. G Baker advised Stewards that the connections of FLAG FAVOURITE, which was found to be lame in the off hind fetlock after competing at the meeting of the Einasleigh Turf Club on April 4th 2015, had indicated to him that the mare would be retired from racing forthwith. Nevertheless Stewards advised Mr. Baker that a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required should a further racing campaign be embarked upon.

Race 1: Racing Queensland QTIS Two-Years-Old Handicap 900 metres:
1st – CRAIGLEA THUNDER 2nd – SONIC BOOMER 3rd – SAGA’S PRINCESS 4th – MINNIE STREET

REGAL ROTH: Jumped in abruptly at the start bumping heavily with another runner.

HORSTYLE: Bumped heavily by another runner at the start. Blundered and lost ground as a result.

ALL OUT ATTACK: Lost ground at the start when crowded for room by another runner.

SAGA’S PRINCESS: Was slowly into stride.

MINNIE STREET: Was inclined to race greenly in the home straight.

Race 2: Radio 4KZ QTIS Class 1 Handicap 900 metres:
1st – OKAY SWIFT 2nd – BLANCHARD BLOOOM 3rd – FAST ANNIE 4th – HENASAR

READ ALL ABOUT ME: Refused to load into the barriers and was a late withdrawal at 12.59pm. Subsequently when correct weight was declared Stewards ordered that all bets placed on READ ALL ABOUT ME be refunded in full and all successful bets placed on the event prior to 12.59pm be subject to deductions of 8 cents win and 9 cents place on the face value of the betting ticket. Trainer Mr. A Bailey was advised that the gelding would be required to obtain one (1) further barrier certificate prior to racing.

BLANCHARD BLOOM: Was slowly into stride.

GRISWALD: Was inclined to lay in down the home straight.

Race 3: Mirriwinni Lime Handicap 900 metres:
1st – BALUSTRADE 2nd – DESTRUCTION 3rd – FAMILY FREEZE 4th – BAR ATTACK

HEARTFELT QUEST: Was fractious in the barriers. Was slowly into stride.

BAR ATTACK: Was slowly into stride.

SEEK DE FORTUNE: Was slowly into stride.

FAST ‘N’ FEROCIOUS: Lost ground at the start after beginning awkwardly.

LOVER OF LIFE: Lost nearside winker in running, near the 600 metres.

Race 4: Elders Insurance Maiden Plate 1100 metres:
1st – LEGENDARY PLUME 2nd – HIGH ON KISSES 3rd – PURRFECT TYCOON 4th – CHRISTMAS VAMPIRE

Following the running of this event Stewards inquired into an incident which took place near the 900 metres, resulting in WIDGEE LAD (T Bannon) which was racing fiercely at the time shifting out across the heels of HIGH ON KISSES (F Edwards) which was crossing to the rail, and hampering the running of PURRFECT TYCOON (W D’Avila) which had also been inclined to race ungenerously leading up to the incident. After hearing evidence from all three riders and viewing the patrol footage Stewards formed the opinion that a number of factors had contributed to the incident and, as such, no individual rider could be held responsible. Stewards took no action other than to advise all three riders to exercise more care.

LATIN QUEEN: Was slowly away.

CHRISTMAS VAMPIRE: Bumped with another runner near the 700 metres.

COW BAY: Bumped with another runner near the 700 metres.

PURRFECT TYCOON: Was inclined to shift ground under pressure in the home straight.

Race 5: Innisfail Turf Club Benchmark 65 Handicap 1100 metres:
1st – LADY FOXY 2nd – PHOENIX FORCE 3rd – CARAVAN SANG 4th – EXCEEDED

The gelding PHOENIX FORCE, which required farrier attention after arriving on course, was subject to a veterinary inspection prior to the commencement of the race meeting and was cleared to compete.

Following the running of this event Stewards inquired into an incident which took place near the 1000 metres, resulting in PHOENIX FORCE (F Edwards) shifting in away from LADY FOXY (D Green) and in doing so crowding the running of JACSAID (J Felix) and HERE TO DASH (W D’Avila). After hearing evidence from all four riders and viewing the patrol footage of the incident Stewards formed the opinion that no individual rider could be held responsible and, as such, took no action other than advising jockey D Green to exercise more care.

ELOVACHILL: Began slowly, throwing its head in the air soon after the start.

EXCEEDED: Jumped out at the start bumping another runner.

JACSAID: Jumped in at the start bumping another runner

KINGS ROAD: Hampered at the start when crowded between runners.

BOLT FROM THE BLUE: Bumped with another runner at the start.

JORDAN: Bumped with another runner at the start.

Race 6: Innisfail Advocate QTIS Three-Years-Old Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – ONE BAR NON 2nd – IN HIS ELEMENT 3rd – ALEXSTRASZA 4th – NEVETUS

FIVE STARS refused to load into the barriers and was a late withdrawal at 3.12pm. After being placed in the barriers SHE’S ALL OURS broke through the gates and galloped riderless for 1200 metres. Subsequently when correct weight was declared Stewards ordered that all bets placed on FIVE STARS and SHE’S ALL OURS be refunded in full and all successful bets placed on the event prior to 3.12pm be subject to deductions of 24 cents win and 22 cents place on the face value of the betting ticket and that further deductions of 12 cents win and 11 cents place on the face value of the betting ticket be applied to all successful bets placed between 3.12pm and 3.15pm.

Trainer Ms. J Ryan was advised that the filly FIVE STARS would be required to obtain one (1) further barrier certificate prior to racing.

SCHNELLE’S PFERD: On returning to the saddling enclosure the gelding was found to have bled from both nostrils in running. Stewards acting under the provisions of AR.53A.(4)(b) advised Trainer Mr. F Weiland that the gelding would not be permitted to start in any race for a period of three (3) months, and would be required to gallop 1000 metres to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing.

ELEMENT OF CHANCE: Bumped with another runner at the start.

IN HIS ELEMENT: Bumped with another runner at the start.

MONSOON TWISTER: Jockey G Watson reported that the filly failed to handle the heavy conditions. A post-race veterinary inspection failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Race 7: Norm Stewart Electrical Class B Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – SWEET ASA ROSE 2nd – BLUE DANUBE 3rd – BEARIZAN 4th – THE HAWK ETERNAL

BLUE DANUBE: Jumped out at the start bumping another runner.

BEARIZAN: Jumped in at the start bumping another runner.

IMPROPER ROCKET: Hampered at the start when crowded between runners.

RACING IN THE WIND: Bumped with another runner at the start.

THE HAWK ETERNAL: Bumped with another runner at the start.

Race 8: Ron & Dans Benchmark 65 Handicap 1500 metres:
1st – LIVINGSTON 2nd – TEST THE BEST 3rd – FIELDS OF TUSCANY 4th – FAST ‘N’ SHARP

PACHAMAMA: Was fractious in the barriers. Jockey F Edwards reported that the mare failed to handle the heavy conditions.

GUITARIST: Hampered at the start when crowded between runners.

GUNDY STAR: Jockey G Watson reported that the gelding failed to respond when placed under pressure in the home straight.

Race 9: Cassowary Coast Regional Council Handicap 1500 metres:
1st – JUST HUSTLED (NZ) 2nd – RATTUS CONATUS 3rd – MIDNITE RAID 4th – KOOLASACAT

KOOLASACAT: Dwelt at the start.

NATE: Was inclined to over-race passing the 1200 metres.
