GENERAL
 
Due to overnight rain, on arrival at the racecourse, Stewards undertook an inspection of the track which was rated a Heavy 8.
 
Race 1: BRIGHT DAISY and FAITH OVER FEAR were both declared late scratching’s at 12.10pm due to no riders being available.
 
Race 3: As KAMMERSELL HOUSE had not raced for an extended period, it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to race.
 
Race 1: TABLELAND HARDWARE BENCHMARK 55 Handicap – 900 Metres
 
CALM IS POWER – Delayed the start when it got its head over the front barrier gate. The gelding underwent a veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. Tendency to over-race in the early stages.
 
BRADSHAW – The start was further delayed when the gelding proved difficult to load. Raced in restricted room shortly after the start. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
GAMADALE NIP – Shifted out at the start and bumped FIND MY CALM and was then subsequently slow into stride.
 
FIND MY CALM – Hampered at the start when bumped by GAMADALE NIP which shifted out.
 
OSTERBERG – Tendency to lay in, in the home straight on a number of occasions being corrected by its rider. Both rider and trainer reported to stewards the gelding failed to handle todays track conditions.
 
FRAMED IT – Laid out over the concluding stages and shifted wider. Trainer Ms. R. Singleton was advised a warning was to be placed on the filly regarding its racing manners. Ms Singleton advised stewards she would now make gear changes and in future seek to engage a left hand whip rider to address the horses waywardness.
 
AGLOT – On returning to scale rider Apprentice T. Leslight reported in his opinion the gelding did not handle today’s track conditions.
 
OUR ADDICTION – On returning to scale the rider G. Kliese reported the gelding did not handle today’s track conditions.
 
Race 2: INNISFAIL HARDWARE BENCHMARK 60 Handicap – 1200 Metres
 
ELLIE’S DREAM – Over-raced early stages. Held up in running entering the home straight until near the 150 metres.
 
SAVEE – Shifted out on the home turn bumping with TEN SHILLING. Rider C. Meehan was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.
 
TEN SCHILLING – Bumped rounding the home turn and momentarily became unbalanced.
 
DESERT MOON - The gelding underwent a veterinary examination and was found to have a moderate case of the thumps.
 
Race 3:CAIRNS HARDWARE Maiden Plate – 1200 Metres
 
KAMMERSELL HOUSE – As the gelding had not competed for an extended period it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Jockey R. Shred on returning to scale reported to stewards that in her opinion the gelding did not handle today’s track condition which contributed to its performance today.
 
VAGABOND PRINCE – Began awkwardly. On moving to the outside of the leader near the 1000 metres momentarily moved BOMBINATE wider. On returning to scale Jockey G. Kliese reported to stewards the gelding did not handle today’s track condition which contributed to its performance today.
 
BOMBINATE – Momentarily forced wider at the 1000m.
 
Race 4: HERBERT HALL QTIS BENCHMARK 50 Handicap – 1500 Metres
 
WONG WAY – Raced wide in the early stages of the race. Rider C. Meehan pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on nine occasions (+4) prior to the 100 metres with a totality of thirteen times. Jockey Meehan’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 29 June 2025 and expire midnight 6 July 2025. Jockey Meehan was advised of his right of appeal.     
 
GRINZINGER BURG (NZ) – Shifted wider leaving the 800 metres and raced wide from that point onwards. Stewards noted rider Ms. I Teh exceeded the permitted strikes of the whip prior to the 100 metres (+ three) however under AR 132(7)(a)(ii); and given the totality of the whip use no further action was taken.

SHE’S A MISSION – Raced forward early and then compounded from the 500 metres. Rider Ms. K Swaffer reported to stewards the horse was under pressure from the 600 metres and that as it was noticeably tiring, as such she did not test the mare for the remainder of the race. The mare underwent a veterinary examination and was found to have a moderate case of the thumps.
 
Race 5: CONSIDER IT DONE MAGIC MILLIONS/ROB KOCH MEMORIAL/FNQ U&C STAYERS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap – 2000 Metres

PEROVIC – Passing the winning post on the first occasion shifted in when racing to the inside of MELANIN which was racing ungenerously and crowded MERRY OLD SOUL which was steadied. Attempted to shift out to obtain clear running near the 400 metres, however was disappointed for that run and was steadied and shifted wider to obtain a clear running.
 
MERRY OLD SOUL – Crowded near the winning post on the first time and had to be restrained then over-raced for a short distance thereafter.
 
MELANIN – Raced ungenerously near the 1600 metres.
