OFFICIALS:

GENERAL:
Prior to the commencement of the race program, stewards inspected the track resulting in it being subsequently downgraded to a Heavy 10.
 
All jockeys provided a random  breath test prior to the commencement of their rides with all providing clear samples.
 
Permitted Overweight’s:
Race 4: App. Ms. Lauren Guernier – 1 Kg (to allocated riding weight).
 
RACE 1:TEMPYYST HAIR AND BEAUTY QTIS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 900M
 
SUPERSTITIONS – Slow to begin.
 
RACE 2: GEORGE & MATILDA EYECARE OPEN Handicap 1100M
 
ELLIE’S DREAM – Blundered on jumping. Crowded for room leaving the 100 metres between MATERIALIST and LUCKY ROLLA when MATERIALIST shifted out under pressure.
 
LUCKY ROLLA – Slow into stride.
 
MATERIALIST – Slow to Begin. Shifted out under pressure leaving the 100 metres crowding ELLIE’S DREAM. App. S. Pointon was advised to show more care in similar circumstances.

RACE 3:LORRAE JEWELLERS Maiden Plate 1200M
 
ONOMA – Veered out sharply on jumping and moved towards the outside running rail losing considerable ground and taking no competitive part in the race. Trainer A. Malliff was advised the gelding must trial to the satisfaction of the stewards prior to its next race start.
 
 
 
 
RACE 4:CHERYL-LEE FLORIST BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1200M
 
BELLZEN – Slow to begin. Shifted out momentarily under pressure near the 200 metres forcing THE IMPECKABLE wider.  
 
MAGESTIC BLAZE – Slow to begin.
 
THE IMPECKABLE – Slow into stride. Forced wider near the 200 metres.
 
RACE 5:PICNIC’S COUNTRY CRAFTS BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1500M
 
GUAPO – Forced wider on the home turn when THIRD MASTER shifted out.
 
THIRD MASTER – Shifted out on the home turn forcing GUAPO wider. Shifted out under riding over the last 50 metres. Stewards noted rider App. S Pointon exceeded the permitted strikes of the whip prior to the 100m (+ one) under AR132(7)(a)(ii), however, given the totality of the whip use no further action was taken.
