SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS


GENERAL

As R. Wiggins was not riding due to personal reasons, riding replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.


Race 1: SCHWEPPES MAIDEN H’CAP – 1020M

ALL OF US – Had to be steadied from heels leaving the 700m and again near the 500m, and near the 300m shied at the inside running rail and became unbalanced.

CAPE LUCK – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

TWIN FIGHTER – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

OBNOXIOUS – Bled from both nostrils. Trainer T. Cotsiopoulos was advised that OBNOXIOUS would be ineligible to race for 3 months and prior to starting again must perform satisfactorily in a 1000m gallop in the presence of a steward. The veterinary surgeon reported that the mare was galloped on on the near hind leg.

SUNFAST – Shifted out under pressure for the length of the home straight.

RED HOT ELEMENT – Steadied from heels near the 700m.

TOUCH OF ART – Reared as the start was effected and lost ground.

PETRANI – Inconvenienced near the 100m.

Race 2: XXXX GOLD QTIS 2YO MAIDEN PLATE – 1100M

As apprentice B. Grylls arrived on course without a medical clearance, apprentice B. Appo was substituted as the rider of FIRE ROSE.

CALCETINES – Slow to begin. Disappointed for a run on a number of occasions in the home straight.

SOVEREIGN STAR – Raced ungenerously for the first 200m. Hung in in the home straight, placing its rider at a disadvantage, and went to the line not fully tested. Trainer T. Sears was advised that a warning will be placed on the horse's racing manners.

TRE BROWN – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

EXTREME STYLE – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer N. Doyle was advised that he will be required to produce a veterinary clearance for the horse prior to its next start.

Race 3: SKY RACING F&M CLASS 3 PLATE – 1350M

FORWARD SPEED – Slow to begin. Commenced to overrace leaving the 1000m until a point leaving the 800m.

HARMONIZED FEELING – Held up rounding the home turn for a short distance.

SARISARA – Raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Race 4: CITY OF IPSWICH CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1700M

No racing incidents.

Race 5: CHANNEL 7 C,G&E CLASS 3 PLATE – 1350M

LEPRECHAUN LAD – Raced wide from the 800m.

DHARAVI – Began awkwardly. Had to steady from heels near the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer L. Morrison was advised that she will be required to produce a veterinary clearance for the horse prior to its next start.

DOUSAICHI – Tightened for room near the 1000m.

HITMAN HARRY – Slipped over whilst being saddled, inspected by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. A further precautionary examination was performed on arrival at the barriers. Raced wide throughout.

Race 6: FOXY & LINEY CLASS 1 PLATE – 2200M

SAN CLEMENTE – Began awkwardly and raced wide in the early stages until a point leaving the 1400m.

SPORT OF KINGS – Slow to begin. Placed in restricted room near the 400m and over the concluding stages had to be steadied from heels.

ROAD TRAIN ROSIE – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer T. Sears indicated that he would give consideration to sending the horse for a spell.

NEVER IGNORE – Had to be steadied when tightened for room near the 400m.

Race 7: SAM & LOZ F&M RATINGS 0-70 H’CAP – 1100M

The start of this race was delayed when SEPT DE COEURS proved difficult to load.

Correct weight was delayed to enable L. Tarrant, the rider of 2nd placegetter PURE REALITY, to view the stewards' patrol footage on the home turn to ascertain whether he had grounds to lodge an objection against the winner LADY DE RETZ. After viewing the video, L. Tarrant indicated that he did not wish to proceed with an objection.

SEPT DE COEURS – Began awkwardly. Forced wider on the track rounding the home turn. Trainer S. Kendrick was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse's barrier manners.

LADY DE RETZ – Hung out rounding the home turn, forcing another runner wider on the track, and continued to hang out for the remainder of the home straight. R. Fradd was reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts out to the finish of the race.

Race 8: MERRY XMAS FROM ITC C,G&E RATINGS 0-70 H’CAP – 1100M

STARSTREAMED – Trainer T. Webb advised stewards that he has instructed the rider not to use the whip. Slow into stride.

BLOODED – Began awkwardly.

TRILLIUM – Began awkwardly and shifted out.

TIGERPRINT – Slow to begin.
