Race 1: FOLLOW@IPSWICHTURFCLUB QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1100 metres
 
Beau Witness – Slow to begin and lost ground when tightened for room shortly afterwards. Over-raced during middle stages when the pace slackened. Held up for clear running when rounding the home turn.
 
Imposing Tiger – Bumped heavily on jumping away. Over-raced during the middle stages when the pace slackened.
 
Johnny Dash – Began awkwardly and bump heavily with BEAU WITNESS. R Maloney indicated that the colt travelled well during the event, however did not respond and placed under pressure and he could offer no explanation for the horses disappointing performance. Post-race vet examination revealed no abnormalities and a swab sample was taken.
 
Fidler On The Roof – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
 
 
Race 2: IPSWICH CUP TIX ON SALE Maiden Plate 1666 metres
 
Clairvue Jet – Steadied from heels near the 1000m.
 
Euphrates – Fractious in the barriers before being slow to begin.
 
Oso Good – Slow to begin. Steadied from heels when placed in restricted room near the 1000m.
 
Bonbora (NZ) – Slow to begin. Momentarily held up for clear running when rounding the home turn.
 
Cee Eye Cee – Trainer Chris Jordan was reprimanded under LR 67 for failing to declare a rider by the prescribed time.
 
I Am Good At This – Due to transport difficulties was late on course and underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
A Deel Of Humour – Lost the off fore plate.
 
 
Race 3: TAB VENUE MODE Class 1 Handicap 1666 metres
 
Big Angel – Shifted wider from the 700m to improve.
 
Enjoy The Show – Slow to begin.
 
Race 4: SIRROMET Class 4 Handicap 1666 metres
 
Badoosh – Due to transport difficulties was late on course and underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. When asked to comment on the performance K Wilson- Taylor indicated that he would have preferred to race in a position closer to the lead, however he was unable to muster early speed. He further indicated that he was able to improve into the race when approaching the home turn, however the gelding was quite dour in the run to the line.
 
Royal Performance – T Brooker was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of her whip in excess of 5 times prior to the 100m.
 
Rapido Gris – Held up for clear running when rounding the home turn. Laid in under pressure over the final 200m.
 
Aiolos – Underwent a pre-race vet examination and was cleared to start. Slow to begin. Forced wider near the 500m.
 
Little Jerry – Hung out near the 500m.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 5: SCHWEPPES QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1200 metres
 
Lord Louison – Slow to begin. Hung out for the majority of the event.
 
Spicy King Prawn – After galloping strongly to the barriers during the preliminary, underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
 
Super Mist – Checked when tightened for room near the 900m. N Fazackerley pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that near the 900m he directed his mount inwards taking BEANS MEANS in onto the rightful running of SUPER MIST, causing that horse to be checked and also causing OCEANA, which was following to be checked. Jockey Fazackerley’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 15/4/2022 and to conclude midnight 25/4/2022. Obliged to race in restricted room during the middle stages.
 
Ready For Better – Raced wide until the 600m.
 
French Enuff  - Tightened for room and checked near the 900m
 
Oceana – Raced in restricted room near the 1100m and had to be steadied. Checked to avoid heels near the 900m. Laid out under pressure during the early part of the home straight and near the 100m when corrected by its rider and directed inwards became unbalanced.
 
Late Night Devil – Bumped near the 100m.
 
Race 6: GREAT NORTHERN Class 4 Handicap 1200 metres
 
Oriental Runner – Raced wide for the majority. Inconvenienced near the 150m
 
Pivotal Motion – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority. Inconvenienced near the 150m.
 
Applecross – Forced wider and inconvenienced near the 150m.
 
Miss Mckinley  - Began awkwardly.
 
All Stars  - Steadied when placed in restricted room near the 1100m. Checked to avoid heels near the 150m. Apprentice Jaden Lloyd was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that near the 150m he directed his mount out around the heels of KAVAK where there was insufficient room and in doing so, made contact with APPLECROSS forcing that horse wider into the rightful running of ALL STARS causing that horse to be checked and causing both PIVOTAL MOTION and ORIENTAL RUNNER to be inconvenienced.
 
Rock On Destiny -  Slow to begin.
 
Race 7: IPSWICH EVENTS & ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 2150 metres
 
Elizano  - Slow to begin. Checked from heels when held up for clear running near the 400m.
 
Flensburg  - Raced wide during the early stages. R Maloney reported that his mount weakened from the 600m and was making an abnormal respiratory noise on pulling up. Post-race vet examination revealed a laceration to the near hind tendon, which was treated on course.
 
Kippax  - Slow to begin.
 
Luvyouanytime  - Bumped at the start and lost ground. Improved onto heels near the 1600m and shifted wider and raced wide for the majority.
 
Puckish – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide throughout.
 
Kirro – Bumped on the hindquarters near the 400m and lost ground after becoming unbalanced.
 
Race 8: THE BARN FAMILY RESTAURANT BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1350 metres
 
 
Fish On – Slow to begin.
 
Berdini's Girl – Raced wide throughout and forced wider near the 400m.
 
Amore Primus – Slow to begin.
 
Canadian Dancer – Held up for clear running from rounding the home turn until near the 150m.
