SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT


GENERAL
 
Stewards approved the following overweights:
 
Race 3: D. McGillivray +1kg
Race 3: D.Thornton +1kg
 
As Jockey M. Rodd was not riding at todays meeting due to being injured, he was replaced as per the race day summary. Jockey M. Rodd was advised that he would require a medical clearance prior to racing again.

Race 1: GREAT NORTHERN IPSWICH INCENTIVE - FINAL - CLASS 3 HANDICAP       1200 M

PRE EMINENCE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after becoming fractious in the tie up stalls and was cleared to start. Bumped shortly after the start.
 
RUNWITHTHETIDE – Raced wide until the 700m.
 
PIVOTAL LAD – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
ESTRONDO – Raced keenly in the early stages. Inclined to lay in when placed under pressure in the early part of the home straight. Near the 100m, laid out momentarily and was contacted on the hindquarters by YOU KAY SQUEEZE, became unbalanced and lost ground.
 
DETRIMENTAL – Bumped shortly after the start. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
NORTH OF ELI – Held up from the home turn until the finishing line and as a result was unable to fully test his mount. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted today, in particular, decisions made in the home straight to secure clear running, Jockey A. Mallyon stated that after being held up rounding the home turn, he improved onto the heels of RUNWITHTHETIDE, which commenced to weaken, before he elected to shift back to the inside to attempt to obtain clear running, however was disappointed for the remainder of the straight.
 
 
GLASS OF ROSE – Near the 1100m became awkwardly placed on heels when over-racing.
 
RYLOV – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after arriving late on course and was cleared to start. Trainer R. Dart was reprimanded under LR 30(1)(a)(i) for the late arrival of RYLOV prior to Race 1.
 
YOU KAY SQUEEZE – Near the 100m, when under pressure shifted in and away for RYLOV, making heavy contact with ESTRONDO and as a result had its hindquarters turned and became unbalanced.

Race 2: BISHOPP BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP         1666 M

BARAZIN (IRE) – Raced wide.
 
CAPTAIN FENKEL – Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the home straight. Improved on to heels over the final 50m and was unable to be fully tested to the finishing line.
 
THE CATCH – Held up rounding the home turn. Near the 200m, shifted in to obtain a position closer to the rail, however, was disappointed and held up until approaching the 150m.
 
BOYS NIGHT OUT – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
HEMAN - Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn and was then disappointed for a run to the inside of THE CATCH near the 200m, before improving onto heels approaching the finishing line and as a result was unable to be fully tested to the finishing line.
 
QUOTHQUAN – Slow to begin.
 
SMART AS SMART – Inclined to lay in in the early part of the home straight before improving onto heels approaching the 50m and as a result was unable to be fully tested to the finishing line.
 
KAIROS LOUIE (NZ) – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

Race 3: CHANNEL SEVEN WINTER PROVINCIAL STAYERS FINAL BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP         2500 M

BESTOWER (NZ) – Slow to begin. Near the 450m, improved onto the heels of the weakening JUSTICE SERVED and was obliged to shift very wide to obtain clear running.
 
NATURE BOY (NZ) – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
 
I AIN'T CHICKEN – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after racing at Kilcoy on 19/06/25 and was cleared to start. Slow to begin. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn before improving onto heels leaving the 100m.
 
PAPAL MISS – Slow to begin.
AROUND THE BUOY (NZ) – Held up rounding the home turn before obtaining clear running leaving the 200m.
 
THEBARBEROFSEVILLE – Raced wide until the 1100m.
 
FARWEST – Over-raced early. Elected to leave a rearward trailing position near the 1100m and trailed up three wide. Forced wider leaving the 600m when WITTELSBACH shifted out to improve. Laid in rounding the home turn and in the home straight.
 
GIFTED GAMER – Over-raced early.
 
ZAYNUDIN (IRE) – Raced wide.
 
VIADELAMORE (IRE) – Began awkwardly.
 
JUSTICE SERVED – Raced wide.

Race 4: RAY WHITE IPSWICH BENCHMARK 80 HANDICAP         1100 M
 
HOLY RACKET (NZ) – Jockey J. Huxtable was reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts to the finishing line.
 
TALTARNI FIELDS – Raced wide throughout. When asked to comment on the tactics adopted today, Apprentice C. Sutherland reported that his instructions were to attempt to settle forward, however after beginning only fairly, rather than be caught wide in the early stages he attempted to take up a midfield position with cover, however was unable to do so and was obliged to race three wide throughout.
 
END ASSEMBLY – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Obliged to shift wider leaving the 200m to secure clear running.
 
ENTERPRISE LUCIA – Over-raced in the middle stages. When asked to comment on the performance of ENTERPRISE LUCIA, Jockey K. Wilson-Taylor reported that in his opinion the mare may have resented racing between runners and did not let down in the home straight as expected and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
SICILIAN – Near the 900m, momentarily raced in restricted room to the inside of jones. When asked to comment on the performance of SICILIAN, Jockey R. Bayliss reported that after beginning only fairly, and with the early speed, elected to settle where comfortable in a rearward position.

Race 5: RIVER 949FM BUNDAMBA PLATE CLASS 6 HANDICAP         1350 M

NATIONAL CHOICE – Hampered on jumping. Raced wide.
 
REDFORD – Raced wide.
 
PREMISE (NZ) – Steadied approaching the 1000m when awkwardly placed on heels.
 
TWYFORD – Raced keenly for a short distance between the 1000m and the 700m.
 
KOOLED – Very slow to begin. Over-raced approaching the 900m.
 
Race 6: SCHWEPPES T L COONEY     1350 M

TUNED – Began awkwardly.
 
HELLA FAST – Began awkwardly. Jockey J. Guthmann- Chester, the rider of HELLA FAST was fined $300 pursuant AR 211(1) for weighing in overweight.
 
 
THE THREE HUNDRED – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 200m was obliged to alter course towards the inside to obtain secure running after improving onto the heels of HELLA FAST. When asked to comment on the performance of THE THREE HUNDRED, Jockey R. Bayliss reported that after beginning poorly, he was obliged to settle further back than anticipated.
 
I'M HEROIC – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide early. Rounding the home turn, was inconvenienced when awkwardly placed at the heels of the weakening MARAGICAL. Raced in restricted room approaching the finishing line.
 
RAMP IT UP – Bumped on jumping. Rounding the home turn, became awkwardly placed on the heels of LUTETIA and had to be steadied.
 
LUTETIA – When asked to comment on the performance of LUTETIA, Jockey D. Thornton stated that the filly may not have appreciated todays track conditions and proved disappointing.
 
MARAGICAL – Commenced to tire leaving the 400m. When asked to comment on the performance of MARAGICAL, Apprentice E. Lang reported that in her opinion the filly did not appreciate todays racing surface. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer T. Gollan was advised that the filly would be required to complete an official trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again for performing poorly.
 
BOLLINGER MISS – Began awkwardly.
 
Jockey J. Guthmann- Chester, the rider of HELLA FAST was fined $300 pursuant AR 211(1) for weighing in overweight.
 
Race 7: TAB IPSWICH CUP - LISTED  2150 M

RED WAVE – Shifted in on jumping. Near the 1700m, improved onto the heels of MISS JOELENE and was obliged to shift out.
 
OSMOSE (FR) – Carried wider near the 1700m when RED WAVE shifted out, then raced wide until the 1100m. When asked to comment on the performance of OSMOSE (FR), Jockey R. Bayliss reported that his mount may not have appreciated the step up in distance and after exposing it early to take up a leading position, the mare commenced to weaken and in his opinion would be better suited to dropping back in distance.
 
DARK DESTROYER (NZ) – Hampered on jumping when awkwardly placed between AKROTIRI (NZ) and RED WAVE.
 
DIABLO BOLT – When questioned regarding the performance of DIABLO BOLT, Jockey R. Dolan reported that the gelding travelled well until the 700m before weakening. He further added that DIABLO BOLT began making respiratory noises upon pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have upper respiratory noises. Co- trainers A. and R. Archibald were advised that a veterinary clearance, including the results of an endoscopic examination would be required prior to racing again.
 
POETIC DRAMA (NZ) – Hampered shortly after the start. Raced wide for the majority.
 
FELIX THE SCAT – Hampered on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
 
FLASH AAH – Near the 1500m, raced ungenerously for a short distance. Improved on to heels leaving the 700m and had to be steadied.
 
RAF ATTACK (NZ) – Connections advised of a change of tactics in that RAF ATTACK would be ridden more forward. Raced wide throughout.
 
AKROTIRI (NZ) – Shifted out on jumping and bumped with Lang for several strides shortly after the start.
 

Race 8: BARRIER REEF POOLS EYE LINER STAKES - LISTED      1350 M

ROCKRIBBED – Near the 50m became awkwardly placed at the heels of WARNIE which shifted in slightly.
 
WARNIE (IRE) – Connections advised of a change of tactics in that WARNIE would attempt to be ridden on speed. Ridden accordingly. Bumped on jumping. Held up rounding the home. Disappointed for a run from near the 100m and was held up thereafter. Near the 50m, raced in restricted room to the inside of SWISS EXILE which was carried in slightly.
 
XIDAKI – Raced wide.
 
BANK MAUR – Raced wide.
 
BOOM TORQUE – Near the 100m, had to be steadied momentarily from the heels of DON’T STOP which shifted out. Jockey J. Bayliss the rider of DON’T STOP was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
 
OUGHTON – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SHA OF GOMER – Bumped on jumping.
 
DON'T STOP – Obliged to alter course leaving the 200m and shifted out to secure clear running. Raced wide.
 
SWISS EXILE – Leaving the 100m, momentarily steadied from the heels of SHA OF GOMER of which shifted in. Jockey R. Jamieson the rider of SHA OF GOMER was severely reprimanded pursuant AR 131(a) for careless riding.
 
DEVASTATE (NZ) – Raced wide.
 
FORTUNATE KISS – Held up from the 250m until approaching the finishing line. Near the 50m became awkwardly placed on the heels of OUGHTON which shifted in. Jockey R. Dolan the rider of OUGHTON was severely reprimanded under AR 131(a) for careless riding.
 
HARBOURMASTER – Raced wide. Held up form the home turn until approaching the 100m.
 
KIPLING'S JOURNEY – Raced wide.

Race 9: GORDON'S GIN GAI WATERHOUSE CLASSIC - LISTED     1200 M

The start of this event was delayed approximately 3 mins owing to SUNSET DREAMING having to be re-plated behind the barriers. Underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection and was cleared to start.
 
TERRA MATER – Laid in shortly after the start.
 
KAZOU – Began awkwardly. Held up rounding the home turn.
 
KIN – Over-raced near the 600m.
 
COUNTYOURBLESSINGS – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 700m, raced ungenerously. Raced wide.
 
HEROIC MISS – Raced wide. When asked to comment on the tactics adopted today, Jockey R. Stewart stated that his instructions were to attempt to find cover from a wide barrier, however after beginning only fairly, was unable to do so after several runners showed early speed to his inside and as a result was obliged to race wide throughout.
 
LADY SHOTGUN – Had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on heels near the 700m.
 
GERRINGONG – Raced wide the majority.
 
REMLAPS ANGEL - Bumped by TERRA MATER, which shifted in. Over-raced early.
