GENERAL
 Due to predicted sultry weather conditions, this race meeting was conducted within the provisions of the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission Caring for Racing Animals in Extreme Heat Policy.
 
 
Race 1: IOR PETROLEUM / NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS BLACKALL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres
 
MISHANI EMPRESS – Awkward and slow into stride then travelled wide to avoid the kick back.
 
SERRATALLI – Slow to muster speed, held up for clear running close to the finish line and was manoeuvred outwards.
 
 
Race 2: NAPCO PORTLAND DOWNS CLASS 5 PLATE - 1000 metres 
 
ACEPLAY – Jumped away awkwardly, slow into stride and travelled wide for much of the race. Lay in over the concluding stages.
 
GRANOLA STATE – Failed to muster early speed.
 
TOURMASTER – Travelled wide in the early stages.
 
MUSIC AWARD – Reared as the gates opened.
 
 
Race 3: OMA CONTRACTING DENNIS O’BRIEN MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres  
 
WEDGED – Bounded out of the gates.
 
METRICAL – Travelled wide in the middle and latter stages.
 
CADOUIN & WON CAPILANO – Brushed on jumping.
 
WON CAPILANO – Slow into stride, travelled wide for much of the race and lay in over the concluding stages.
 
 
Race 4: RAY WHITE RURAL BLACKALL BM 50 HANDICAP - 1400 metres  
 
DO I HAVE TO underwent a pre-race veterinary check prior to running, with a small cut to the inside of the nostril located and was passed fit to race.
 
THE KROC – Slow to begin.
 
DO I HAVE TO – Slow into stride and travelled wide for much of the race.
 
CHEEKY CHOPS – Lay back as the start was effected losing considerable ground, then travelled wide for the remainder of the race.
 
 
Race 5: CPC ISIS DOWNS ROSS CUP OPEN HANDICAP - 1400 metres      
 
BURDEN – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
KEDLESTON – Fractious prior to jumping, slow to begin then travelled wide for much of the race putting in several awkward strides leaving the 900m.
