Race 1: BOOTH RURAL/JULIA CREEK ROADHOUSE BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1100m:
 
MY CRIMSON LAD – Slowly away.
 
TOP DECISION – Inclined to lay in passing the 800m.
 
REVEL IN THE CHAOS – Shifted in near the 150m inconveniencing another runner. Jockey S McGovern was reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a).
 
GO SAI – Was inconvenienced by another runner which shifted in near the 150m.
 
Race 2: SN GABBERT CONSTRUCTIONS/JOHNSONS GRADER HIRE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1350m:
 
DREAMWARD BOUND – Jockey D Sparks was unable to make up to the allotted weight and was replaced by P Romeo. Jockey Sparks’ explanation was accepted and Stewards took no further action. Slowly into stride.
 
ALLUDER – As Jockey A Spradau arrived late on course due to transport difficulties and was replaced by D Ballard.
 
ROCK SPARK – As Jockey J Esser was to be overweight and was replaced by D Sparks. Jockey Esser was fined the sum of $100.00 under the provisions of AR120(b). Slowly into stride. Raced wide for the majority.
 
LAGER – Raced wide without cover for the majority.
 
GULLY GOSH – Jockey J Babarovich advised that the gelding which finished tailed off had resented the kickback in running. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 3: MCKINLAY SHIRE COUNCIL OUTBACK RACING SHOWCASE OPEN HANDICAP - HEAT 1350m:
 
CHOCLOATE BOLT – Slowly into stride. Was shifted on the track wider passing the 800m in an effort to avoid the kickback. Jockey S McGovern advised that the gelding had not handled today’s track conditions.
 
TRAVEL IN STYLE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
WULFWIN – Inclined to shift ground outwards when placed under pressure in the home straight, having to be restrained near the 150m to avoid the heels of another runner.
 
Race 4: SOUTH 32 CANNINGTON ARTESIAN EXPRESS CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1200m:
 
WICKED INVESTMENT – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly.
 
HIDONAL – Slowly away. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
SAFDIE – Shifted in despite the efforts of Jockey S McGovern near the 900m when over-racing inconveniencing another runner.
 
OUR BEATNIK – Near the 900m was inconvenienced by another runner which was over-racing.
 
CRACK A COLDIE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
CRYSTAL BEAR – Raced wide for the majority.
 
GALEA WARRIOR – Jockey A Spradau accidentally dropped his whip near the 200m.
 
Race 5: JULIA CREEK HOTEL/AUZSCOT CIVIL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200m:
 
KAWANA VIVA – Fractious in the barrier. Slowly away after beginning awkwardly.
 
ARGENTO PEARLO – Slowly into stride.
 
LEAPIN’ LENA – Raced wide for the majority.
 
THE FAB THREE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
NITRO CITY – Shifted in near the 1100m tightening runners to its inside. Jockey D Sparks was severely reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a).
 
ARGENTO PEARLO – Had to be restrained near the 1100m when another runner shifted ground inwards.
 
NICCONI PASQUALE – Raced in restricted room for some distance passing the 1100m due to tightening from outside runners.
 
ECHELON ROSE – Was inclined to race ungenerously when placed in restricted room passing the 1100m.
