Race 1: BOOTH RURAL & FELSIES MOBILE WORKSHOP QTIS Maiden Plate 1200M
 
KEN DYLAN – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after becoming loose behind the barriers then galloping a short distance before being captured in the 1350 metre chute and was declared fit to race.
 
ENTERPRISE PINK – Reared simultaneously as the start was affected, losing considerable ground and taking no effective part in the event. Given all circumstances, Trainer Tanya Parry was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare's barrier manners.
 
FORTUNAS GIRL – Laid in under pressure in the final straight.
 
INSTIGATE – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the early part of the home straight.
 
 
RACE 2: JULIA CREEK FOODMART BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1200M

LONE ARTIST – Laid in under pressure shortly after entering the home straight.
 
YALLA – Laid in rounding the first turn.
 
HEAD HONCHO – Proved difficult to load.
 
VONK – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
BONDI PROPHET – Slow into stride.
 
 
RACE 3: HUGHENDEN MOTORCYCLES BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1350M
 
INFINITE PRINCE – Jumped in the air at the start, then hampered shortly after when both SWEETPEA MOOCHI and TENGUN ANNIE shifted ground. Returned to the enclosure with blood present in both nostrils. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils on the first occasion. Trainer Emma Morton was advised of the provisions of AR79(4).
 
SWEETPEA MOOCHI – Shifted out on jumping, hampering INFINITE PRINCE. Resented the kickback in the early stages.
 
WOLF POINT – Slow into stride. Laid under pressure in the concluding stages, resulting in rider Todd Banks having to stop riding and straighten his mount on several occasions.
 
TENGUN ANNIE – Shifted in on jumping, hampering INFINITE PRINCE.
 
 
 
RACE 4: WOODS WELDING WORKS RATINGS BAND 0-50 Handicap 1100M
 
MAGIC ANDERSON – Began awkwardly then bumped shortly after. Resented the kickback in the early stages. Approaching the 800 metres, was crowded for room and had to steady when racing to the inside of MAKANUI (David Sparks), which shifted in whilst improving to the lead when not fully clear. Rider David Sparks was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for permitting his mount to shift ground when insufficiently clear.
 
COMBS – Laid in under pressure in the early part of the home straight.
 
POLLY HOFFA – Resented the kickback in the early stages. Raced wide throughout.
 
LASTING PROMISE – Following the event, LASTING PROMISE underwent a veterinary examination which revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer Ray Hermann advised the Stewards that it is his intention to retire the gelding. Nevertheless, he was informed that should LASTING PROMISE be recommissioned in the future, a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding racing again.
 
 
RACE 5: MARWILL PTY LTD OPEN Handicap 1100M
 
NAPOLEON STRIKE – Bumped on jumping. Inconvenienced rounding the first turn when VIBRUNUM laid in. Resented the kickback in the middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
VIBURNUM – Laid in rounding the first turn inconveniencing NAPOLEON STRIKE.
 
ZAVABOOM – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Approaching the 800 metres, commenced to hang out towards the outside rail, taking charge of its rider and losing all effective chance. Trainer Emma Morton was advised that ZAVABOOM must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.
 
LAST DITCH EFFORT – Began awkwardly and shifted in bumping with NAPOLEON STRIKE. Resented the kickback in the middle stages.
