GENERAL
 
Prior to the commencement of today’s race meeting a number of riders provided a breath sample to Stewards.
 
Race 1: BILL SULLIVAN & HARVEY BLACK MAIDEN PLATE 1000M
 
SET FOR LIFE- Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
LA SWISH- Shifted out from the 400m to obtain clear running racing wide from that point for the remainder. Laid in from the top of the straight for some distance before being corrected by the rider.
 
MORTS HOPE -Slow to begin. Raced towards the rear of the field for the majority of the event.
 
SEND THE MONEY- Raced wide for the majority, laid in in the home straight for a short distance before being corrected by the rider.
 
SHE’S GOT GRACE- Slow to begin, raced towards the rear of the field for the majority of the event.
 
IT’S A POWER- Tended to over race during the early stages of the event. Dipped at the 200m when it put in an awkward stride. A post-race veterinary examination was ordered with no abnormalities being detected.
 
Race 2: WDRC JANDOWAE & DALBY BUSINESS HOUSES QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1000M
 
SMACKEROONY- Raced wide for the majority.
 
LEVAR- Failed  go the early speed and then raced towards the rear of the field while racing wide.
 
JAIN- Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
GOOSE STEP- Bumped at the start and then shortly after the start with MISS DRAMATIC.
 
ROCKY BLONDE- Began awkwardly.
 
MISS DRAMATIC- Bumped with GOOSE STEP as the start was affected and then shortly after the start bumped again.
 
CRAIGLEA BRONTE- Began awkwardly, raced towards the rear of the field for the majority. Travelled wide with cover during the early stages.
 
Race 3: JANDOWAE MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1200M
 
CAUSEWAYS- Raced towards the rear of the field for the majority.
 
DOMINANT ROSE- Began awkwardly and then raced wide for the majority.
 
TORVECCHIO- Began awkwardly veered inward at the start dictating CAUSEWAYS further inward resulting in it becoming unbalanced.
 
KOGA NINJA- Bumped with another runner at the start and then shortly after the start was bumped again.
 
MAEVE- Stood flat footed and raced towards the rear of the field for the majority. Trainer Ms S McEwan was advised that a Warning would be placed on the horse.
 
BODYSWERVE- Began awkwardly by jumping out bumping KOGA NINJA and then shortly after the start bumped again. Laid in the home straight.
 
Race 4: CUBICO 2026 BATTLE OF THE BUSH JANDOWAE QUALIFYER OPEN HANDICAP 1200M
 
SMILING ZAC- Raced wide over the final stages of the event.
 
ESTE DIA- Raced wide for the majority.
 
DRANG A TANG- Slow to begin.
 
GALEKA- Raced wide and towards the rear of the field for the majority. Improved into the race from the 500m point. Tended to lay in from the 200m for a short distance before being corrected by the rider. Ran on strongly over the final stages.
 
BEE TWO- After hearing submissions from Trainer Mr G Richardson Stewards acting under the provision of LR67 fined him the sum of $100 for his late declaration of a rider.
 
Race 5: QRRRWN JANDOWAE CUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1500M
 
POWERFUL EAGLE- Attempted to rear as the barriers opened and was very awkward, Trainer  Mr S Hardy was advised that a Warning would be placed on the horse for his barrier manners. Raced wide for the majority.
 
KAREEM- Began awkwardly racing at the rear of the field for some distance before improving into the race from the 400m and ran on strongly over the final stages. Tended to lay in for a short distance in the home straight before being corrected by the rider.
 
ACES UP- Raced wide for the majority.
 
HARLEQUINN- FIELD- Raced wide for the majority. On returning to scale Appr Jky V Soulsby advised the horse felt scratchy in its action. A post- race veterinary examination was undertaken; this examination revealed no abnormalities.
