TWILIGHT STEPS – Taken wider passing the 400m, when MISHANI EMPIRE shifted out to improve.
WINNING ELEMENTS – Began awkwardly and bumped with HANNAH'S ASTAR. Jockey P. HANNAH'S ASTAR – Began awkwardly, bumped heavily with WINNING ELEMENTS and lost ground. Inconvenienced passing the winning post on the first occasion when WINNING ELEMENTS shifted out.

Race 3: SPRING INTO KILCOY RACES & PACING OCT & NOV QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1200 Metres
The start of this race was delayed by approximately three (3) minutes when STRAZ DANZ, whilst being led to the gates by the clerk of the course, took flight when contacting the running rail and harmlessly dislodged apprentice S. Bailey. STRAZ DANZ subsequently underwent a pre race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. On arrival at the barriers, SORT OF IN LOVE underwent a pre race veterinary examination after being kicked by another runner and was cleared to start.
FLASHMASTER – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Over raced in the early stages.
SUCCESSISMAGIC – Approaching the 900m, whilst racing ungenerously, had to be steadied and as a result, MISHANI IMPACT and MISHANI LETHAL were both hampered. Raced greenly in the home straight. Currie was advised a warning would be placed on SUCCESSISMAGIC for proving difficult to load.

Race 6: LADBROKES SPRING HOSTED POTS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1500 Metres
Correct weight was delayed when an objection was lodged by third placegetter L. Dempsey, rider of CALYX ROSE, alleging interference against second placegetter, WARRIOR HEAD, ridden by D. Peisley, in the home straight. After considering submissions and viewing the race patrol footage, Stewards dismissed the objection on the grounds that CALYX ROSE had not yet established a run to the outside of WARRIOR HEAD, and that although CALYX ROSE had to be momentarily steadied from the heels of WARRIOR HEAD near the 50m, jockey Dempsey (CALYX ROSE) did not have to cease riding the mare along at any stage and given the 1 length margin between 3rd and 2nd place, Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that CALYX ROSE would have finished ahead of WARRIOR HEAD, and declared correct weight on the judges semaphored numbers.
RAFFISH – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to resuming racing from an extended period and was subsequently cleared to start. Slow to begin.
BOKUDEN – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
WARRIOR HEAD – Approaching the 800m, put in an awkward stride. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight before being corrected by its rider.
BANDIT – When asked to comment on the seemingly improved performance, trainer T. Thomas reported that at the gelding’s previous start at the Sunshine Coast on the 26th of September, BANDIT was caught wide for the majority before suffering interference in the home straight and was unlucky to have not finished closer. He added that he was confident of a forward showing today and wasn’t surprised by the win. Stewards noted Mr Thomas’ comments.
CALYX ROSE – Began awkwardly. Momentarily steadied from the heels of WARRIOR HEAD near the 50m.
MEANASENKO – Began awkwardly.
BEAT HOLLOW – A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
Race 7: KILCOY FREE ENTRY SUPER SPRING SUN HARNESS RACES 26 OCTOBER RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1200 M
