GENERAL
 
Stewards permitted the following overweight:
Race 6: 12 PIMPERNEL – M. Hellyer + 0.5kg (55kg)
 
SEACRYPTION (Race 2) was declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 7:45am due to an elevated temperature. Trainer M. Currie was advised SEACRYPTION would require veterinary clearance prior to resuming racing.
 
 
RACE 1: CONGRATS TIM MASON KRC MAIDEN PLATE      800 Metres

CASUAL MAN – Passing the 400m, shifted in, bumped with MISHANI HERCULES and became very awkward and lost ground.

MISHANI HERCULES – Passing the 400m, brushed the running rail when CASUAL MAN shifted in. Consequently, CASUAL MAN became very awkward and lost ground.
 
SORT CHA MESS – Shifted out at the start and bumped PIPPIE POMAR.

DARE TO LOVE – After passing the finishing post, became awkward in its action behind, dislodging apprentice R. Thorburn approaching the crossing. Apprentice R. Thorburn was assessed by QAS officials and cleared of injury. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

DEMES GIRL – Raced wide for the majority.

PIPPIE POMAR – Bumped at the start.
 
CHEEKY CRAB – Slow to begin and lost ground.
 
SHE'S GOT IT – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
HOLY HAVOC – Slow to begin.
 
 
RACE 2: KILCOY EXCHANGE HOTEL RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP      1900 Metres

HOKKAIDO (NZ) – Slow to begin and lost ground. Leaving the 1000m, over raced and had to be steadied from heels. Held up for clear running passing the 400m.
 
CHANGE THE DEEL – Slow to begin.
 
DROP THE PILOT – Began awkwardly and bumped with HARLEY CHARLIE. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, when the pace of the race slackened, became awkward on the heels of BAVARIAN LADY and had to be restrained.

HARLEY CHARLIE – Began awkwardly and bumped with DROP THE PILOT. Forced wider approaching the 600m.

SUPER FAIR – Held up for clear running approaching the 200m until entering the home straight.

ANOTHER DAZZLER – Raced wide from the 1300m before shifting back in near the 1000m. Forced wider approaching the 600m.
 
 
RACE 3: CONGRATS JAYNE MCKENZIE KRC MAIDEN PLATE 1200 Metres

The start of this race was delayed by approximately three minutes due to ATTACK FORCE (NZ) requiring farrier attention to the off fore plate and was cleared to start.
 
ATTACK FORCE (NZ) – Shifted out approaching the home turn.
 
BOLD LOUIE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
CLAW MACHINE – Apprentice C. Sutherland reported the gelding had its head turned as the start was effected. Approaching the home turn, forced wider.  

DAZZINGTON – Bumped at the start with THE MERCHANT (NZ).  Bumped with THE MERCHANT (NZ) near the 500m and became unbalanced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils (first occasion). Trainer D. Murphy was advised of the provisions of AR 79(4).

THE IMMORTALS – Raced wide for the majority.
 
YONAKA – Bumped on jumping.

TOO DARN SMART – Bumped on jumping. Approaching the home turn, forced wider when ATTACK FORCE (NZ) shifted out. Apprentice K. Lenton was reprimanded pursuant to AR 131(a) for careless riding in this incident.

THE MERCHANT (NZ) – Bumped on jumping. Bumped with DAZZINGTON near the 500m and became unbalanced.
 
 
RACE 4: LADBROKES TOP 2/3/4 BETTING BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP       1200 Metres

DEPTH CHARGE – Bumped on jumping. On entering the home straight, was inconvenienced by AMENOPHIS when that runner shifted out.

GALWAY HUSSLER – Raced wide for the majority. Apprentice K. Barker reported her mount travelled well however failed to respond to her riding in the home straight and was disappointing in its finishing effort.
 
KAREEM – Raced wide from the 700m.
 
XERRI – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
SUPER QUICK – Began awkwardly. Momentarily held up for clear running on entering the home straight. Shifted wider in the home straight when XERRI shifted out. Apprentice C. Krahnen, rider of XERRI, was advised to exercise greater care and to stop and straighten her mounts when shifting ground.
 
AMENOPHIS – Shifted out on entering the home straight.
 
CAPITAL CEE – Raced wide for the majority. Forced wider near the 300m by ALL BLACK.

ALL BLACK – Began awkwardly and bumped with DEPTH CHARGE. Forced wider near the 300m when AMENOPHIS shifted out.
 
CASANOVA MAN (NZ) – Slow to begin.

 
RACE 5: VOTE OF THANKS JENNY SEARLE RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP       1200 Metres
 
Correct weight was delayed to allow jockey P. Hamblin, rider of CLEARLY GEORGE, to view the official photo finish.

PROCLAIMER  – Slow to begin.
 
DUKE OF LANCASTER – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority.

ALPINE RAIDER – Underwent a pre race veterinary examination due to the gelding having raced at Toowoomba on 4 November 2025. Slow to begin.
 
RESOLUTE LADY – Near the 300m, steadied from the heels of ALPINE RAIDER which shifted in momentarily. Jockey R. Downey, rider of ALPINE RIDER, was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in the future.
 
GRANDEUR ROSE – Raced wide throughout.
 
SONIC ARROW – Began awkwardly.
 
 
 
RACE 6: SEARLES GARDEN PRODUCTS CLASS 1 HANDICAP         1500 Metres
 
Correct weight was delayed to allow jockey L. Tilley, rider of BATTLESPACE, to view the official photo finish.
 
LIFE OF TREE – Blundered as the start was effected and shortly thereafter was bumped by HARCASION. Near the 1200m, clipped the heels of CALVARY, blundered badly, with apprentice O. Kendal becoming very unbalanced and awkward in the saddle. At a subsequent inquiry, jockey A. Thompson, rider of CALVARY, reported that his mount failed to handle the turn out of the straight for the first time, laying out badly and carrying QUALITY MISS (D. Smith) wider, prior to him directing his mount back inwards toward the rail. Apprentice O. Kendal, rider of LIFE OF TREE, stated that it was her intention to obtain a forward position on the gelding however, LIFE OF TREE blundered on jumping away and she was unable to do so. Further, LIFE OF TREE then commenced to over race and proved difficult to settle, improving quickly  into a position to the inside of CALVARY when that runner shifted back towards the rail, resulting in the gelding clipping the heels of CALVARY near the 1200m and losing ground. Stewards, taking into account the racing manners of both runners, established that no one rider was at fault in this incident and took no further action.
 
DESERT LEGEND – Apprentice C. Sutherland reported the gelding did not appreciate the tight turning track.
 
CALVARY – Over raced passing the winning post on the first occasion, prior to laying out rounding the turn near the 1300m.
 
RARE MOON – Began awkwardly and bumped with PIMPERNEL. Laid out near the 1300m.
 
QUALITY MISS – Over raced passing the winning post on the first occasion. Near the 300m, steadied from the heels of PIMPERNEL when that runner shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey M. Hellyer, rider of PIMPERNEL, was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident.  A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
SO YOU CAN TORQUE – Dropped its head as the start was effected and lost ground. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide in the middle stages, and allowed to stride forward from the 800m to obtain a leading position approaching the 500m.  
 
PIMPERNEL – Bumped at the start. Near the 500m, steadied from the heels of QUALITY MISS when that runner shifted out when insufficiently clear. Jockey D. Smith, rider of QUALITY MISS, was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident. 
 
HARCASION – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped LIFE OF TREE. Laid out near the 1300m. Jockey N. Thomas reported his mount over raced for the majority.
 
 
RACE 7: VOTE OF THANKS CON SEARLE RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP       1500 Metres
 
WEST CORK – Bumped on jumping. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
BRAVE DEEL – Began awkwardly.

OAKFIELD EAGLE – Bumped on jumping.
 
SUMMER STAR – Slow to begin. Near the 400m, raced in restricted room until the 250m when EARLSTON laid in. 
 
EARLSTON – Began awkwardly.
