Stewards approved the following overweight for today’s meeting:
Race 1: Apprentice N Palmer – Claim 3.5 of 4kg allowance = 54.5kg.
 
As ApprenticeJockey Shae Nielson had transport difficulties, Jockey Anna Bakos-Schrapel was injured and Jockey Michael Schrapel was unavailable due to personal reasons, these Jockeys were unable to ride at today’s meeting and rider replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
 
Race 1: LONGREACH SHOW SOCIETY MAIDEN PLATE 1400M.
 
MISHANI OUTLAW – Bumped on jumping and shifted wider bumping BOOGIE FEVER.
 
BOOGIE FEVER – Bumped on jumping. Commenced to tire and tailed off from the 300m. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
GOODFUN – Slow to begin. Inclined to over race in the early stages. Apprentice Jockey N Palmer was reprimanded pursuant to AR143(14)(a) in that he was unable to claim his full allowance.
 
NAORO – Began awkwardly and shifted out bumping MISHANI OUTLAW. Shifted wider on the track passing the 900m and raced wide for the remainder of the event.
 
Race 2: DAVID & CLARE WALKER BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1400M.
 
FLOP TURN RIVER – Slow to begin. Shifted in slightly under pressure and bumped MINTO'S POWER passing the 200m and had to be straightened by the rider.
 
HARCH ROAD – Taken wider shortly after jumping when PARUES shifted out.
 
SUMMER SIZZLING – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
MINTO'S POWER – Slow to begin. Bumped by FLOP TURN RIVER andbecame momentarily unbalanced passing the 200m.
 
PARUES – Began awkwardly and shifted out on jumping forcing HARCH ROAD wider on the track.
 
Race 3: BROOK RACING AND SPORTING TECHNOLOGY BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1200M.
 
I SHOT THE SHERIFF – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
CUSHY (NZ) – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
PENMAN – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
VALIANT JOAN – Jockey T Townsend reported that she momentarily dropped her reins passing the 100m requiring her to stop riding and regather the reins.
 
POTESTAS – Became unbalanced when weakening under pressure passing the 300m.
 
TO THE WORLD – Began awkwardly and bumped NEVER REFUSE. Apprentice Jockey S Pointon dropped her whip approaching the 200m.
 
MOUNT MARGARET – Laid in under pressure over the final 100m.
 
NEVER REFUSE – Bumped on jumping.
 
LASTING PROMISE - Raced wide for the majority of the event. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Race 4: COOLA CARPET & FURNITURE 2025 BATTLE OF THE BUSH LONGREACH QUALIFIER OPEN PLATE 1200M.  
 
KALASHNIKOV – Taken in slightly passing the 100m when THE HANGER CAT laid in under pressure.
 
MUSIC AWARD – Disappointed for a run between FELONIOUS and KALASHNIKOV passing the 200m before commencing to lay in under pressure passing the 100m.
 
SINGLE HONOR – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
THE HANGER CAT – Laid in under pressure approaching the 100m before being straightened by the rider.
 
KINJINA – Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
Race 5: O’BRIEN’S GARAGE QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1000M. 
 
CHANGE IS COMING – Began awkwardly and shifted out on jumping. Raced wide throughout the event.
 
MORE THAN A STAR – Began awkwardly and bumped YEMEAN and as a result lost ground. Commenced to over race passing the 700m. Held up for clear running from the 500m until passing the 300m.
 
LEGOLAS – Hampered on jumping between BOP 'N' DAN which jumped outwards and MOUNT WARNING which shifted in slightly on jumping.
 
MOUNT WARNING – Shifted in slightly on jumping and hampered LEGOLAS. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
YEMEAN – Began awkwardly and bumped MORE THAN A STAR.
 
BOP 'N' DAN – Shifted out on jumping and hampered LEGOLAS.
 
MISHANI TWILIGHT – Shifted wide on the home turn.
 
YOU BETTER YOU BET – Inclined to lay in for a short distance after jumping.
 
WOLF POINT – Slow to begin.
