As Jockey D Evans was not riding at today’s meeting due to acceptable reasons, rider replacements were made as per the Stewards summary.

 
RACE 1:4LG AND WEST FM MAIDEN PLATE 1000 M

The start of this race was significantly delayed due to a kangaroo being situated on the infield of the course proper which was required to be removed prior to the runners being loaded into the barriers.
 
CIRCUS MAXIMUS – Began awkwardly and shifted inwards, impeding TRIPLE JAB shortly afterwards.
 
GALATH (NZ) – Began awkwardly and bumped with IT’S A POWER. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide throughout. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.

LOCK IN – Began awkwardly. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.     
 
BELLA RUSSIAN – Began awkwardly. Laid outwards when placed under pressure over the final 150m.
 
BOOM FLYER – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result. Raced wide in the early stages.   
 
TRIPLE JAB – Slow to begin and shortly afterwards was impeded by CIRCUS MAXIMUS which shifted inwards. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide throughout.
 
IT'S A POWER – Began awkwardly and bumped with GALATH (NZ).


RACE 2:BLUE GRASS MEATS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1600 M

SCHMOOZER – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
AMBASSADORS – Raced wide throughout.    
 
GRANITE PRINCE – Slow to begin. Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
SHOALWATER BAY – Raced keenly in the early stages. Approaching the 300m, shifted outwards when insufficiently clear to obtain a run between NASSAU COUNTY and GREGARIOUS, and in doing so bumped NASSUA COUNTY forcing the gelding outwards onto the hindquarters of RUN FREDA RUN which was turned inwards into the rightful running of NASSUA COUNTY placing the gelding in restricted room, and continued to shift outwards, resulting in NASSUA COUNTY being severely checked.   
DIVINE COURAGE – Slow into stride. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
GREGARIOUS – Raced keenly in the early stages. Jockey M Heagney advised stewards that his mount was inclined to hang outwards in the home straight which resulted in him having difficulty riding his mount out fully to the finish.
 
NOTACLUEHOWORWHO – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin. Commenced to overrace passing the 900m and had to be steadied from the heels of GRANITE PRINCE.
 
NASSAU COUNTY – Raced wide in the early stages. Approaching the 300m, was bumped by SHOALWATER BAY, which shifted outwards under hard riding, and as a result was carried out onto the hindquarters of REN FREDA RUN, resulting in that runner being turned inwards. SHOALWATER BAY continued to shift outwards, and as a result NASSUA COUNTY was placed in restricted room, lost its rightful running and was severely checked. Apprentice M Goring, the rider of SHOALWATER BAY, pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR131(a) for careless riding. Apprentice Goring’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 13 days, with the suspension commencing midnight 22nd June 2026, and to conclude midnight 5th July 2026. In determining penalty, stewards took into account apprentice Goring’s previous record, guilty plea and the QRIC careless riding template. Apprentice Goring was advised of his rights to appeal.  
 
RUN FREDA RUN – Approaching the 300m, was bumped on the hindquarters by NASSAU COUNTY, which was carried outwards by SHOALWATER BAY, and as a result was turned inwards placing NASSAU COUNTY in restricted room and ultimately having to be severely checked. 

RACE 3:LONGREACH TYRE CENTRE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1000 M

NOBLE INTENT – Passing the 600m commenced to overrace and had to be steadied from the heels of CRIMSON DECIPHER.
 
MAYBE – Began awkwardly and was bumped by STEP TO SUCCESS which shifted inwards soon after and as a result was slow to begin. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SPEC OF SILVER – Impeded at the start by IMMINENT BOOM which shifted inwards. Raced wide throughout.
 
IMMINENT BOOM – Began awkwardly and shifted inwards, impeding SPEC OF SILVER. Raced wide throughout.
 
NOCI DI COCCO – Bumped by EASTCOAST HUSSLER which shifted outwards at the start. Raced wide throughout. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
EASTCOAST HUSSLER - Shifted outwards at the start and bumped NOCI DI COCCO. Raced wide throughout. 
 
WORKSMEUP – Began awkwardly. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.      
 
STEP TO SUCCESS – Began awkwardly and shifted inwards at the start, bumping MAYBE.
 
VALIANT JOAN – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.          


RACE 4:LITTLE STAR INDIAN RESTAURANT CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1100 M

PENINSULA – Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early stages. Held up for clear running between the 600m until point near the 400m. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
AFFIRMATIVE LIGHT – Shifted outwards at the start, bumping HEAD HONCHO.
 
OUTBACK BANDIT – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
 
HEAD HONCHO – Bumped at the start by AFFIRMATIVE LIGHT which shifted outwards.

INQUISITIVE LEGEND – Laid inwards under pressure in the home straight and near the 50m was obliged to shift outwards to obtain clear running.
 
ARTIE PANTZ – Raced wide throughout.
 
ICHIBERU – Raced wide in the early stages. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 

RACE 5:LJC PATRON PETER ANDERSON - CENTRAL WEST RURAL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200 M

HOLLERLOUD – Raced wide in the early stages.

CROWN REACH – Began awkwardly. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.

RAPIDS – Began awkwardly. A post-race report to Stewards revealed that the gelding had bled from one nostril. Trainer R Simpson was advised that pursuant to AR79(8), RAPIDS is required to undergo a satisfactory gallop of at least 1,000 metres in the presence of a Steward before racing again. Trainer Simpson advised Stewards that it was his intension to retire the gelding from racing.
 
A TENT HUT – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
BOOM BOOM RAY - As Jockey M Heagney was dual engaged on an emergency which gained a start in this race, he was replaced on BOOM BOOM RAY by Jockey C McIver.
 
UNTOLD STORY – Began awkwardly and shifted inwards, inconveniencing FINAL COMMENT.
 
FINAL COMMENT – Hampered at the start by TAKE A BREAK which shifted outwards and UNTOLD STORY which shifted inwards and as a result lost ground.      
 
RISE AND RESIST – Jockey R Faehr was fined $100 under the provisions of AR132(6)(b) for using his whip above shoulder height on four occasions in the home straight.  
TAKE A BREAK – Began awkwardly and shifted outwards shortly afterwards and bumped with FINAL COMMENT. Near the 950m, had to steady to avoid the heels of RISE AND RESISIT (jockey R Faehr) which shifted inwards when insufficiently clear to do so. Jockey R Faehr was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for careless riding. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 

RACE 6:BAKER'S NEWSAGENTS QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE 1400 M

PERDITION – Began awkwardly.
 
HIT 'EM UP – Shifted outwards at the start, impeding WOLF POINT. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the gelding to have detached its off-fore shoe in running.

MONDAY CHOICE – Began awkwardly. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.     
 
SALTCLAY – Began awkwardly.
 
TELL US TOLL – Raced wide throughout. Laid outwards when under pressure over the concluding stages. Apprentice H Saunders pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip on 9 occasions prior to the 100m and 13 times in total. Apprentice Saunders’ licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 days, with the suspension commencing midnight 20th June 2026 and concluding midnight 27th June 2026. In determining penalty, Stewards took into account the QRIC whip penalty guidelines. Apprentice Saunders was also reminded of her obligations in relation to applying the whip to her mounts on consecutive strides.
 
YOU KAY SQUEEZE – Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
WOLF POINT – Began awkwardly and was impeded by HIT EM’ UP which shifted outwards soon after the start and as a result lost ground. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Raced wide throughout.


RACE 7:HARRIS EARTHMOVING 2026 OUTBACK RACING SHOWCASE OPEN HANDICAP 1400 M

TESTATOR SILENS – Bumped by DECIDUOUS at the start. Raced wide throughout. Carried wider on the track near the 650m by DECIDUOUS when that runner shifted outwards.
 
VICTORY BAY (NZ) – Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
DECIDUOUS – Shifted outwards at the start, bumping TESTATOR SILENS. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide throughout. Shifted wider near the 650m, carrying TESTATOR SILENS outwards. Inclined to lay out under pressure over the final 200m. Upon returning to scale, apprentice M Mankelow reported to Stewards that her mount was displaying abnormal breathing sounds upon pulling up. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
SCORCHED LAND – Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
AIMPOINT – Began awkwardly. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
TURNSTAR – Laid in entering the home straight. Passing the 250m, shifted out across the heels of SCORCHED LAND which laid inwards under pressure.

LEGOLAS – Began awkwardly and shifted inwards, inconveniencing BOLD HUSSAR shortly afterwards.
 
BOLD HUSSAR – Began awkwardly and shortly afterwards was inconvenienced by LEGOLAS which shifted inwards. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
BURDEKIN – Raced wide throughout.
