RACE 1: LAKELAND CIVIL
& MUSGRAVE ROADHOUSE PATRON BILL WARE Maiden 1000M
 
XINGXING – Jockey Ms.
A. Thomson advised stewards due to a vehicle breakdown on route to today’s
meeting she would be unable to fulfill her riding engagement for this race and
was replaced by jockey M. Abe.  
 
MISSY LYN – As the mare
had not started for an extended period of time, it underwent a pre-race
veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.
 
PROPER BENDER – Slow to
begin.
 
RACE 2: LIONS DEN HOTEL
LAURA BRACELET RATINGS BAND 0 - 50 Handicap 1000M
 
SNUGGLES – As the mare
had not started for an extended period of time, it underwent a pre-race
veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. Fractious in the barriers
prior to the start.
 
CHARM TELLER – Tendency
to lay in over the concluding stages.
 
RACE 3: AUSWASTE FNQ
& SPECFAST BM60 Handicap 1200 M
 
KHALS – As the gelding
had not started for an extended period of time, it underwent a pre-race
veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. Compounded in the home
straight and finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination of the
horse revealed no obvious abnormalities.
 
BELLA BIANCA – Due to
fractious behavior in the on-course stabling area, the mare underwent a pre-race
veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.
 
BELLZEN – Raced wide
for the majority of the race. Rider dropped her whip approaching the 100
metres.
 
RACE 4: CITY N COUNTRY
& GATA PLASTERING QTIS BM50 Handicap 1200 M
 
ON THE QUIET – Slow
into stride.
 
YOUWANNAPEACHOFME – Began
awkwardly causing jockey S. Kaya to become unbalanced and as a result lost
ground.
GUAPO – Raced wide in
the early stages of the race. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
RACE 5: COOKTOWN RSL
LAURA CUP BM70 Handicap 1450 M
 
VINVENZO – As the
gelding had not started for an extended period of time, it underwent a pre-race
veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.
 
CHOIR BOY – Began
awkwardly, shifted out and bumped BUFFET BUSTER.
 
BUFFET BUSTER – Bumped
on jumping. Raced wide in the early stages of the race.
