GEOFFROY, BROMES, and GETOUT OF MY NEIGH (NZ) were all pre-race vet examined and cleared to start after racing in the past 7 days.
 
 
Race 1: Alpha Race Day Class B Handicap (1550 METRES)
 
GEOFFROY – Jockey J. Baker was fined $300.00 for using his whip on seven (7) occasions, 2 more than permitted, prior to the 100m pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii). Stewards took into consideration this was Jockey Baker’s fourth breach of the respective rule.
 
BON RUBY – Slow to begin.
 
KEIRETSU – Raced wide in the middle stages.
 
MAN ONA MISSION – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 2: Clermont Race Day BM60 Handicap (1400 METRES)
 
BROMES – Slow to begin.
 
SIR VAN DYKE – Slow to begin. Raced three-wide throughout.
 
 
Race 3: Gladstone Race Day BM45 Handicap (1170 METRES)
 
BARBICAN – Raced four-wide without cover throughout. Apprentice Jockey O. Kendal was reprimanded for using her whip on six (6) occasions, 1 more than permitted prior to the 100m, pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii). Stewards took into consideration this was Apprentice Jockey Kendal’s third breach of the respective rule.
 
PLENTY OF TICKER – Slow into stride. Raced wide throughout.
 
CLIFTON COUNTY – Was declared a late scratching at 8:10am due to no available rider.
 
CASSAVANCE – Raced three-wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 4: Emerald Race Day Maiden Plate (2YO & Up - Set Weights) (1000 METRES)
 
CHATILLY – Was declared a late scratching at 8:10am due to no available rider.
 
HAN DYNASTY – Dipped on jumping and as a result was awkward to begin.
 
MORATA – Began awkwardly, shifted out on jumping, contacting SHIRAISHI.
 
ZOFFDACHARTS – Was declared a late scratching at 8:10am due to no available rider.
 
CROWN LAW – Was declared a late scratching at 8:10am due to no available rider.
 
MISS STARLIGHT – Was fractious in the barriers prior to jumping. Raced wide throughout.
 
SHIRAISHI – Jumped away awkwardly. Hampered on jumping by MORATA, and as a result was slow to begin.
 
BEFORE SUNRISE – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 5: Thank you Racing Queensland OPEN Handicap (1000 METRES)
 
MORENO – Was hampered on jumping by HAYLER’S TARY. Apprentice Jockey A. Donald elected to shift her mount wider approaching the 500m.
 
RAIDEN – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Jockey C. Jokic was reprimanded for her whip on six (6) occasions, 1 more than permitted prior to the 100m, pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii). Stewards took into consideration this was Jockey Jokic’s third breach of the respective rule.
 
BEST GUESS – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
ISIS JECTALE – Jockey J. Baker was stood down after reporting to stewards he was feeling unwell, and as such was replaced by Jockey C. Eaton by order of the stewards. Jockey Baker was advised a medical certificate will be required prior to any future race rides. Slipped on jumping.
 
HAYLER’S TARY – Began awkwardly, jumping out contacting MORENO.
 
HURRICANE FIGHTER – Stewards granted permission for Jockey S. Sheargold to ride his mount 0.5kg overweight as no other rider was available.
