GENERAL
 
As jockey N Summers is returning to race riding after an injury, she was only cleared to ride in a maximum of three races according to her return to work program set in place by Workcover.
 
The following runners were declared late scratchings at 8:15am due to no available rider:

RACE 1: MEU (MINING & ENERGY UNION) BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1550M
 
CONSIDER IT READY – Raced wide throughout. Inclined to lay inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight. Apprentice G Semmens pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) in which she applied her whip on 11 occasions prior to the 100m, 6 more than permissible. Ms Semmens was subsequently suspended for a period of 9 days to commence midnight 16/6/2025 until midnight 25/6/2025.
 
REGAL JUDGMENT – Over raced in the early stages. Inclined to lay inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
LENNY ROCKET – Slow into stride. Jockey N Summers when questioned in relation to the performance, could offer no explanation to the poor performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. Trainer B Trimble was advised a warning would be placed on LENNY ROCKET for a poor performance.
 
RACE 2: CIVEO MORANBAH BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1170M
 
KEYBOARD – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Laid inwards when under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
BEPPE – Slow to muster early speed. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. When questioned in relation to the performance apprentice T Leslight stated that his mount had travelled well in the early stages however when asked for an effort approaching the 400m it had failed to respond. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.  Trainers representative T Simmons was advised that a warning would be placed on BEPPE’s record for a poor performance.
 
CHALKLEY – Blundered on jumping.
 
ENCROACHMENT – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.
 
RACE 3: SHERRIFF ELECTRICAL WHOLESALER QTIS CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1170M
 
SCHMOOZER – Raced wide throughout. When questioned in relation to the performance apprentice G Semmens stated that the heavy weight impost proved detrimental in the geldings chances today. Trainer R Williams reported that SCHMOOZER failed to handle the soft sand conditions today. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
 
INREADYNESS – Raced wide throughout.
 
TAKERU – Shifted outwards on jumping. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
MARTINI MOMENT – Raced keenly in the early stages. Hung inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
RACE 4: OAKA CONSTRUCTIONS MAIDEN PLATE 1000M
 
EHOR SENOR – Blundered on jumping and was slow to muster early speed. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
TWO STROKES – When questioned in relation to the performance trainer R Williams stated that TWO STROKES may have failed to handle the track conditions today. He further stated that that he would look into the immediate racing future of the gelding within his stables.
 
GRUMPYOLDCOL – Raced keenly in the early stages. Jockey C McIver was reprimanded under AR132(5) for his use of the whip 15 times in total, 1 more than permissible.
 
RACE 5: SURELIFT CRANE HIRE BENCHMARK 52 HANDICAP 1000M
 
GREYLIST – Began awkwardly impeding SIDESHOW FRANKIE.
 
SIDESHOW FRANKIE – Impeded on jumping by GREYLIST and slow to begin as a result. Raced wide from a point near the 600m.
 
CHICA HOTTIE – Blundered on jumping. Over raced in the early stages. Hung inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
TSUNAMI FORCE – Resented kick back during the middle stages and lost touch with the remainder of the field. Inclined to lay inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
RACE 6: CREATE A SIGN OPEN HANDICAP 1000M
 
HURTLE – Began awkwardly. Hung out noticeably rounding the home turn. Apprentice T Leslight reported that his mount hung out rounding the home turn and resented kickback which proved detrimental over the concluding stages. Trainer B Johnson was advised that a warning would be placed on HURTLE’s record for hanging out.
 
MR TANGLES – Blundered on jumping. Laid inwards when placed under pressure.
 
WRITTLE – Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide in the early stages.
 
GRAND DE LAGO – Blundered on jumping.
