The following runners all underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having raced within the previous seven days:
PARTY FOR US – 4th November @ Rockhampton
PICNIC BLANKET – 3rd November @ Rockhampton
DEBBIE BABY – 4th November @ Rockhampton
RACE 1: SURELIFT CRANE HIRE QTIS Maiden Plate (1000 Metres)
OUR MISSILE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having last raced in December 2024 and was cleared to start. Was fractious prior to the start after having the stallion chain applied incorrectly behind the barriers. Shifted outwards on jumping and as a result was slow into stride. Raced wide throughout. Tailed the field for the majority, taking no competitive part in the event. When asked to comment on the performance, jockey Ashley Butler stated that in the early stages of the event, OUR MISSILE resented the kick back and as a result was unable to be placed under any pressure and remain competitive.
PARTY FOR US – Jumped away awkwardly. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
RISING RUBY – Raced keenly in the early stages.
SHE’SANAIS – Blundered on jumping and was bumped shortly after by PICNIC BLANKET, which was carried outwards by another runner.
WORKSMEUP – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted outwards impeding PICNIC BLANKET. Laid inwards when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.
PICNIC BLANKET – Impeded on jumping by WORKSMEUP which shifted outwards and as a result was carried out, bumping SHE’SANAIS. Raced wide throughout.

IMPERIONESS – Blundered on jumping and became awkward in its hindquarters for a few strides shortly after in the soft surface before re-balancing.
ITHINKBETTA – Jumped away awkwardly.
EMERALD JOY – Proved difficult to load, delaying the start. Trainer Glenda Bell was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly’s record for being difficult to load.
TORQUE OF DREAMS – Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
RACE 3: HAHNLEC Class B Handicap (1170 Metres)
SECRET BOOM – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted outwards. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
QUILL AMBITION – Raced wide throughout. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight. When asked to comment on the improved performance in comparison to its most recent start at Barcaldine on the 1st November, trainer Glenda Bell stated that the mare was outclassed on that day, and the stable was expecting QUILL AMBITION to run a more forward showing in today’s event.
TWIN ISLAND (NZ) – Slow to begin. Held up shortly after entering the home straight and had to shift outwards to obtain clear racing room shortly after.
DEBBIE BABY – When asked to comment on the performance, apprentice Nikki Olzard stated that DEBBIE BABY failed to handle the soft track conditions in today’s event and proved disappointing. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
RACE 4: RACING QUEENSLAND COUNTRY STAMPEDE QUALIFIER OPEN Handicap (1170 Metres)
OUTBACK ACTION – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
COCHRANE – Commenced to overrace at a point near the 800m.

Following the running of race 4, jockey Ashley Butler was examined by the on-course Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) officers after sustaining an injury to his left elbow. Upon assessment, jockey Butler was advised that a medical clearance was not required, however, he was instructed to report to the stewards should any symptoms persist in the coming days.
RACE 5: ISSAC REGION COUNCIL MORANBAH CUP BENCHMARK 60 Handicap (1550 Metres)
BRANDS – Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
TAKE THE LEAD – Raced four-wide throughout. Was momentarily inconvenienced for a stride when ALL BUSINESS (NZ) shifted outwards under pressure over the final stages. Jockey Chris McIver was reminded of his obligation to maintain a straight course and to ensure his mount does not encroach into the running lines of other runners in future.
ALL BUSINESS – Raced three-wide throughout. Laid outwards when placed under pressure over the final stages, momentarily inconveniencing TAKE THE LEAD.
DIASONIC – Upon returning to scale, apprentice Nikki Olzard reported that DIASONIC felt awkward in its action over the concluding stages.
