GENERAL
 
Stewards permitted the following overweights.
Race 1. Jaimee-Lee Devine (THE COAT HANGER) - +0.5kg.
 
Race 1: QUARRICO BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1550M
 
TAKE THE LEAD – Began awkwardly.
 
MADAM EXCELS – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Raced wide with cover throughout.
 
REMLAP KAVA – Slow into stride. Gave ground leaving the 500 metres and finished back. When questioned regarding the performance, rider Chris McIver stated that REMLAP KAVA resented the kickback once the gelding obtained cover and added that REMLAP KAVA didn’t appreciate the Moranbah track conditions today.
 
DIASONIC – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
THE COAT HANGER – Dipped on jumping. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
RACE 2: MORANBAH COMMUNITY WORKERS CLUB QTIS RATINGS BAND 0-60 Handicap 1170M

SHOALWATER BAY – Began awkwardly and was slow into stride.
 
HEAVENLY LEGEND – Raced wide with cover throughout. Laid in under pressure in the early part of the home straight.
 
PARPPY ‘N’ ME – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
WINDORAH – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
SPIN DOCTOR – Resented the kickback in the early stages, losing ground.
 
CHALKLEY – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
MISSISSIPPI DREAM (NZ) – Laid in under pressure in the early part of the home straight.
 
RACE 3: MORANBAH Class B Handicap 1000M
 
OUR MISSILE – Fractious behind the barriers prior to loading. Heavily resented the kickback in the early and middle stages.
 
SECRET BOOM – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
TWIN ISLAND (NZ) – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
RACE 4: SUNLIFT CRANE HIRE Maiden Plate 1000M
 
LADY DE VEGA – Slow to begin.
 
OUR LAST CHANCE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
SHE’SANAIS – Bumped with LONG TALL JAMES on jumping.
 
LONG TALL JAMES – Bumped with SHE’SANAIS on jumping. Resented the kickback in the early stages. Raced greenly over the final 200 metres.
 
SCOTCH ROCKET – Began awkwardly.
 
RACE 5: NEXT RACEDAY 6TH JUNE 2026 OPEN Handicap 1000M
 
HURTLE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
BOOMING LAD – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the early part of the home straight.
 
UNDER THE LIMIT – Blundered on jumping losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed superficial lacerations to the right-hind fetlock.  
 
YOUR TOO GOOD – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
RED HOT LIZZIE – Inconvenienced at the start when UNDER THE LIMIT blundered, losing ground. Failed to muster speed in the early stages. When questioned regarding the performance, rider Chris McIver stated that RED HOT LIZZIE, which was having its first race start on sand, was not suited to today’s racing surface.
 
RAETIHI (NZ) – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
