Race 1: Seven News Mackay Maiden Plate - 1560 metres
 
TUSCAN TENOR – Over raced in the early stages.
 
HOOVESGOTCHA – Near the 1200m raced ungenerously and threw its head in the air.
 
BENTO – Slow to begin.
 
HESSION ROAD – Jockey A. Butler reported that his saddle had slipped back on jumping.
 
Race 2: Next Accounting QTIS 3YO Maiden Handicap- 1200 metres
 
LADY MIRABELLA – Trainer T. Simmons was reprimanded for the late declaration of
R. Payne was the rider for the horse.  Slow to begin, further hampered and lost ground when tightened between runners. Jockey R. Payne reported that her mount had raced flat due to the quick back up from its previous start.
 
UPPER GLAMOUR – Slow to begin.
 
GAP THE FIELD – Made heavy contact after the start. Returned to scale with blood in its mouth.
 
CIRCUIT JUDGE – Made heavy contact after the start and was forced out on to ESTRELLA FELLA.
 
ESTRELLA FELLA – Bumped at the start. Eased near the 800m.
 
A STAR BORN – Near the 500m rolled in, which resulted in GOLIATH becoming awkward on its heels and taken in onto BEAU CHEVAL, which became unbalanced.  Apprentice N. Summers, rider of A STAR IS BORN, was advised to exercise more care. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
GOLIATH – Became awkward on heels near the 500m and taken inwards and bumped.
 
SARABAH – Approaching the 900m, made contact with SMOKING LADY, and was then buffeted between that horse and A STAR BORN on a number of occasions and lost ground. Raced wide with cover.
 
SMOKING LADY – Bumped nearing the 900m.
 
BEAU CHEVAL – Near the 800m rolled in and ESTRELLA FELLA had to be eased.
Tightened and became unbalanced near the 500m.  
 
SPRING CREEK – When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, the trainer’s representative stated that the horse had been freshened up from its first preparation, that it had performed well in stronger races previously, had been working well in the lead up to today’s event and the expectation was for a forward showing.
 
Race 3: Hit F/M Ratings Band 0-60 Handicap- 1800 metres  
 
The start was delayed TAKINGS and ATLANTIS CITY were loaded into the incorrect barrier stalls, which required correction.
 
MAC’S METTLE – Fractious in the barriers and got its head down prior to the start being effected. Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
FLAT TO STACK – Made contact on jumping away.
 
ATLANTIS CITY – Bumped at the start, becoming unbalanced.
 
THE AROD – Jockey S. Wiseman dropped her near-side rein on entering the straight.
 
WINSOMEMORE- Apprentice Z White reported the gelding did not appreciate the firm track surface.
 
Race 4: Gerry Saliba Memorial Class 3 Handicap- 1050 metres
 
HARAJAKA – Trainer T. Bannon advised stewards the gelding was required to wear bandages on both forelegs as a welfare measure. Stewards acceded to this request and  announcements were made.  Near the 900m, after being slow into stride, commenced to race keenly. After being crossed by OAKFIELD COSTA, Jockey M. Haley attempted to restrain in order to come back, however he explained that the horse was difficult to respond and had over-reacted, losing ground.
 
CASTA – Slow to begin.
 
LIKER – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
SKIFIELD – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
STONE PHILOSPHER – Bled during the event. As this was the first occasion on which the horse has bled, it will now incur a 3 month bar from racing.
 
CHICA PEEPS – Pulled its near fore plate in running and was treated for an injury to this hoof.
 
Race 5: Smart State Vehicle Rentals Ratings Band 0-55 Handicap- 1200 metres
 
CORNISH TALES – Slow to begin.
 
PLAIN ‘N’ SIMPLE – Jumped awkwardly.
 
METEOR’S MAN – Jumped awkwardly.
 
CHIEF ADVOCATE – Raced keenly and rolled out leaving the 800m.
 
HOT TEMPO – Eased from the heels of CHIEF ADVOCATE near the 800m.
 
THAT’S HER I THINK – Approaching and leaving the 200m was disappointed for clear running and restrained from the heels of FLYING HERO and shifted out to obtain clear running.
 
ROUGHISSANTE – At approximately the 200m had to be eased when  DEVIOUS shifted in.  Apprentice D. Graham, rider of DEVIOUS, was advised to exercise more care and be fully clear when shifting ground.
 
HIMALAYAN SALT – Raced wide throughout.
 
Following this event, trainer T. Bannon was directed to ensure her runners are presented to the enclosure in a timely manner.
Race 6: Next Accounting Ratings Band 0-55 Handicap - 1200 metres
 
DASH OF WIZZARD – Due to illness, jockey G. Steele was replaced by J. Stanley. A medical clearance will be required.
 
KANUI – Began awkwardly.
 
ACCORD – Reared on jumping away.
 
DOUBLE JAY GOLD – Slow to begin.
 
TEN GOAL POLO – Jockey A. Butler reported that his mount was inclined to hang out in the middle stages.
 
A LITTLE WICKED – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 7: Payne Print Class 6 Plate- 1200 metres
 
VO TREASURE – Jumped away awkwardly and lost some ground.
 
OPTION – Raced keenly in the early stages, having to be eased near the 1000m.
 
SHIGERU MAHOGANY – Jockey Butler reported that his mount had raced flat and that it was the connections’ intention to space the horse’s runs in future.
 
Race 8: Triple M Ratings Band 0-65 Handicap - 1300 metres
 
MISS RICH – Slow to begin and bumped with POUND STERLING at the start.
 
POUND STERLING – Bumped at the start.  Stewards spoke to App Z White with regard to use of her whip on horses being placed in the barriers.
 
KING TORIO – Slow into stride.
 
BARACHIEL – Slow to begin and further hampered when PROFUSIVE jumped outwards.
 
PROFUSIVE - Jumped outwards at the start.  
 
STRONG WILL – Shortly after the start was awkwardly placed between SWINGAHINCH and CULPO. Raced wide with cover.
 
SWINGAHINCH – Raced wide without cover.
