Race 1:  TFH Mackay QTIS 2yo Maiden H’cap – 1200m
 
COLOUR PERFECT – Delayed the start when proving difficult to load. Slow to begin. Raced greenly in the home straight when placed under pressure.  Trainer F. Smith was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse’s barrier manners.
 
STRUTTAROUND – Shifted inwards on jumping, bumping another runner.
 
WAR BUGLE – Bumped by another runner on jumping and lost ground. Raced greenly for the majority of the race.
 
SHARINDI – Began awkwardly. Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
EMILEE’S EMPIRE – Raced greenly in the home straight.
 
Race 2:  Let’s Jump Mackay Maiden H’cap – 1300m
 
GREAT LOOKER – Slow to begin.
 
HIGH I CUE – Slow to begin.
 
STREET ROGUE – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. On return to scale rider W. D’avila explained to stewards it was not his intention to lead by that distance in the middle stages, however the gelding refused to settle when he tried to restrain it.
 
SHAKA DIAMOND – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
MIGHTY MEERKAT – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 3:  Fleet Crew 4wd Specialist Open H’cap – 1100m
 
PALLADIAN – Over-raced in the early and middle stages and as a result raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
Race 4:  Harvey Norman Electrical Cannonvale QTIS Jewel Qualifier 3yo –
 - 1100m
 
The start of this race was significantly delayed due to a heavy downpour of rain, and the track rating was downgraded to Soft 7 at 4.23 pm.
 
MALVAGIO – Began awkwardly. Attempted to buck leaving the 1050m before being retired from the race near the 950m. Trainer R. West was advised that the gelding must trial to the satisfaction of stewards before being permitted to race again.
 
SHE’S MAGANDA – Slow to begin.  Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
GOLDIE’S ARCHER – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
Race 5:  Triple M Benchmark 65 H’cap – 1300m
 
FUN TICKETS – Slow to begin.
 
STONE WARRIOR – When questioned into the improved performance, trainer J. Manzzelmann stated, in his opinion, the gelding may not have appreciated the conditions on the day at its previous start and coming back to a cooler climate today and on a rain-affected track where the horse has previously performed well on soft tracks, was beneficial to its performance today. Stewards noted his explanation.
 
Following the running of this race the track rating was downgraded to Heavy 8.
 
Race 6: Fiesta Rentals Mackay Ratings Band 0-55 H’cap – 1200m
 
SOUND INVESTMENT – Slow to begin.
 
BATTLE – Bounded in the air as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
WIRRAWAY – Raced wide in the early stages.
