SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

GENERAL

Overweight permitted as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.

Stewards conducted random float and vehicle inspections at today’s meeting with no concerns identified.

Trainer Ricky Vale pleaded guilty to a charge under AR228(b) for misconduct, in that prior to the running of race 5, he used foul language in a loud manner towards stewards when being requested to present his runners to the mounting yard. Mr Vale was fined $500 with $200 fully suspended for 12 months, conditional of no further breaches of the misconduct rules in that period. In arriving at penalty, stewards considered the trainers guilty plea, clear record of an extended period in relation to this type of offending, and the circumstances relative to him being late to present his runners to the mounting yard.
