SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Mackay Turf Club Trial 3/9/26 – Trainer Trevor Williams was fined $100 under the provisions of AR106(1) for presenting SAINT ANNS with the incorrect saddlecloth number.
 
GENERAL
 
Overweight permitted as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
 
Acting on a request from trainer Tracy Simmons, stewards ordered the late scratching of her runners, COSMIC DYNASTY (race 2), DALT JAZ and LA PETITE MAISON (race 7) at 12.03pm.
 
Race 1 - LADBROKES SWITCH QTIS MAIDEN PLATE1560 M
 
AL'S A MACHINE – Began awkwardly.

GOTCHA MOMENT – Began awkwardly. Raced wide in the middle stages.

SHEFFLIN – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having raced within the past 7 days and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly.

SNEAKY PEAKY – Bumped by CHECK ONE TWO shortly after the start. Raced keenly in the early stages. Approaching the 1300m improved onto the heels of CHECK ONE TWO and had to be momentarily eased.

CHECK ONE TWO – Shifted inwards shortly after the start bumping SNEAKY PEAKY. Raced keenly in the early stages.

HOT LUCI – Began awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a poor post-race recovery.

I WANT IT ALL – Began awkwardly and slow to begin. Inclined to lay inwards over the final stages.

STREAMELOT (IRE) – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Shifted wider approaching the 600m in an attempt to improve. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.

TIGER ROCKET – Began awkwardly and slow to begin. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.

PEARL DU JOUR – Began awkwardly. Shifted outwards under pressure in the home straight.


Race 2 - LADBROKES ODDS SURGE QTIS MAIDEN HANDICAP1100 M
 
The start of this race was delayed due to JONKER ROCKET proving difficult to load. Trainer L Manzelmann was advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings record for proving difficult to load.
 
AUZANGATE – Shifted outwards near the 500m when insufficiently clear of MO SPIRIT resulting in that runner having to check.

HOOROO – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages. Shifted outward under pressure in the home straight.

LORD OF THE FLYS – Began awkwardly bumping MO SPIRIT. Hung outwards rounding the home turn. Raced wide throughout. Trainer A Bennett was advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings record for hanging out.

CHEERS HONEY – Began awkwardly. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.

ELEGANT VENUS – Began awkwardly.

PROVISEUR (NZ) – Began awkwardly bumping with OUR LAST CHANCE and hampered shortly after when POWERED RIGHT UP shifted inwards.

COSMIC DYNASTY – Declared a late scratching at 12:03pm by order of stewards at the request of trainer T Simmons.

OUR LAST CHANCE – Began awkwardly bumping with PROVISEUR (NZ). Inclined to lay outwards under pressure in the home straight.

MAJESTIC CHOICE – Began awkwardly.

MO SPIRIT – Began awkwardly bumping with LORD OF THE FLYS.Raced wide throughout. Near the 500m had to check when AUZENGATE (jockey A Holt) shifted outwards when insufficiently clear. Jockey A Holt (AUZENGATE) subsequently pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR131(a) in that at a point near the 500m he failed to make sufficient effort to prevent his mount from shifting outwards when insufficiently clear of MO SPIRIT resulting in that runner having to check. Jockey Holt was subsequently suspended for a period of 8 days to commence midnight 8/9/26 to conclude midnight 16/9/26. In determining penalty stewards were mindful of Mr Holt’s guilty plea and the careless riding template. Hung inwards under pressure in the home straight.

POWERED RIGHT UP – Shifted inwards on jumping hampering PROVISEUR (NZ). Hung inwards under pressure in the home straight.

JONKER ROCKET – Began awkwardly. Hung inwards under pressure in the early stages of the home straight.

SCOTCH ROCKET – Began awkwardly.


Race 3 - LEADING APPRENTICE AMIE MEISSNER CLASS 6 PLATE 3YO AND UP 1300 M
 
CONTEMPORARY – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having raced within the past 7 days and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly. Brushed the running rail near the 750m. Improved onto the heels of REGAL JUDGEMENT near the 800m when the pace slackenedand had to be eased. Laid inwards under pressure in the home straight.

THE EXTREME CAT – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having raced within the past 7 days and was cleared to start. Blundered on jumping and slow into stride as a result. Improved onto the heels of CONTEMPORARY near the 800m when the pace slackenedand had to be eased. Held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.

REGAL JUDGEMENT – Began awkwardly. Improved onto the heels of BETTY BOOM near the 800m when that runner slackened the pace and had to be eased.

BETTY BOOM – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages and was restrained near the 800m, slackening the pace resulting in multiple runners improving onto heels and having to be eased. Jockey G Cartwright was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(d) for the manner in which she slackened the pace. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

LUCKY LASS – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages when being restrained to obtain a position with cover. Held up for clear racing room until a point near the 250m.

ME TIME – Upon returning to scales jockey T Fenlon reported that her mount had felt awkward in its action on occasions in running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the right fore leg. Trainer J Kuhn was advised that ME TIME would require a veterinary certificate prior to racing again.


Race 4 - LEADING JOCKEY RYAN WIGGINS CLASS 2 HANDICAP1100 M
 
EMILIA JANE (NZ) – Slow to begin. Held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.

ADRANOS – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages. Upon entering the home straight was inclined to lay inwards and momentarily became awkwardly placed on the heels of LONHY’S FABRE.

LONHY'S FABRE – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages.

SHIPPING LANE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having not raced for an extended period and was cleared to start.

TARA I AM – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the middle stages once obtaining cover. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the left hind fetlock which was treated and no stand down was required.

CHIARO DI LUNA – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight. Jockey T Chambers pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) in which she applied her whip to her mount on 9 occasions prior to the 100m and 14 times in total. Ms Chambers license to ride in races was subsequently suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 08/9/26 and conclude midnight 15/9/26.


Race 5 - LEADING TRAINER LACHIE MANZELMANN OPEN HANDICAP1560 M
 
RED HOT LIZZIE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having raced within the past 7 days and was cleared to start. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.

ACROPHOBIC – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having raced within the past 7 days and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly. Raced wide in the early stages. Raced keenly in the early stages when being restrained to obtain a position with cover. Shifted wider near the 800m in an attempt to improve.

UPSTART LEGEND – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having raced within the past 7 days and was cleared to start.

THE PENSKE FILE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having raced within the past 7 days and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly bumping with SETTAT (NZ) shortly after the start. Raced keenly in the middle stages.

THE DRILLER – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having raced within the past 7 days and was cleared to start. Bumped with MR SHORTY near the 1450m when that runner shifted outwards. Hampered for clear racing room over the final 100m.

MR SHORTY – Shied on route to the barriers harmlessly dislodging jockey A Bulter before being quickly re-captured and re-mounted by its rider. Began awkwardly. Near the 1450m shifted outwards bumping with THE DRILLER. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

SETTAT (NZ) – Began awkwardly making heavy contact with the inside barrier partition and was slow to begin as a result. Shortly after the start bumped with THE PENSKE FILE.

RAJNISH – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having raced within the past 7 days and was cleared to start. Slow into stride. Over raced in the middle stages. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.


Race 6 - HORSE OF YEAR EXODAS RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1200 M
 
Prior to the start MASALI RAFFA broke through the front of the barriers, before being restrained and returning to the start. MASALI RAFFA subsequently underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
 
SUJEED – Began awkwardly and slow to begin as a result. Over raced in the middle stages.

THE DEFENDER – Began awkwardly.

HEROIC TALENT – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.

MASALI RAFFA – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.

SUPID DATE – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.

TELL US TOLL – Hampered on jumping when SHE’S GOT LYRICS shifted inwards and was slow to begin as a result. Near the 500m made contact with the hind quarters of WHISKEY GLASSES resulting in the mare being tightened and check to the inside of that runner.

ENTERPRISE VALOUR – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.

SHE'S GOT LYRICS – Shifted inwards on jumping hampering TELL US TOLL.

WHISKEY GLASSES – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. At a point near the 500m was inclined to lay inwards despite the efforts if its rider with the hind quarters of the gelding making contact with TELL US TOLL resulting in that runner being checked. Stewards could not attribute the incident to lack of action on behalf of apprentice T Orr and took the matter no further.


Race 7 - RACING AGAIN SAT 12TH SEPTEMBER BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 1100 M
 
DALT JAZ – Declared a late scratching at 12:03pm by order of stewards at the request of trainer T Simmons.

DRAGON'S SNIP – Raced wide in the early stages.

SIR ROCKET – Hung inwards under pressure in the home straight. Trainer L Manzelmann was advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings record for hanging inwards. Cast the right fore shoe during the run.

LA PETITE MAISON – Declared a late scratching at 12:03pm by order of stewards at the request of trainer T Simmons.

HUMBLE HERO – Bumped with ZAYA on jumping. Raced wide in the early stages until obtaining a position outside the lead near the 800m.

HE'S THE ONE – Slow into stride. Laid inwards under pressure in the home straight.

TRIPLE TRIPLE – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages.

FABULEAN – Began awkwardly. Raced ungenerously in the early stages when being restrained to obtain a position with cover. Laid inwards under pressure in the home straight.

ZAYA – Began awkwardly bumping with HUMBLE HERO. Over raced in the early stages.
