GENERAL

1.    As rider Sean Cormack did not attend today’s meeting, he was replaced as outlined in the Stewards Race Day Summary.

2.    Apprentice rider Amie Meissner advised Stewards prior to the meeting that she had accepted two rides on today’s program for which she would be unable to ride at the allocated weight. When questioned, Apprentice Meissner explained that she had accepted both rides (CHALKLEY and MARAVILLAS) prior to acceptances and had been travelling from Tuesday’s Mount Isa meeting to her home base at Emerald on Wednesday 21 October, and that due to her travel and limited mobile phone reception, she was unable to confirm the allocated weights for the respective rides. Given all circumstances, Apprentice Meissner was replaced on both horses as outlined in the Stewards Race Day Summary and was reprimanded under the provisions of AR 190(3). In determining penalty, Stewards took into consideration the circumstances outlined by Apprentice Meissner along with her apprentice status and good record in relation to the rule.
