Race 1: Hankinson Smash Repairs Benchmark 60 Handicap 1100 metres:
1st – MIMI’S ROCKET 2nd – REFORMER 3rd – GESTICULATION 4th – COURT ACTION
SHIMAZU – Was slowly into stride after jumping in at the start.
HIGHLAND LAD- Was inclined to race ungenerously in the early stages. Jockey T Brummell reported that the gelding resented the kickback in running.
Race 2: Southern Cross Austereo Maiden Plate 1000 metres:
1st – DOLLARISE 2nd – ENCORONADA 3rd – MISHANI TRADER 4th – OLLIE OOBA
CUMULOUS CLOUD – Bumped with another runner shortly after jumping.
OLLIE OOBA - Bumped with another runner shortly after jumping. Was inclined to race ungenerously in the early stages.
MISHANI TRADER – Jockey T Chambers reported that the gelding was inclined to lay in down the running.
Race 3: Malouf Auto Group Open Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – FORTZA 2nd – OBSERVER 3rd – DIMI THE DANCER 4th – PISMO BEACH
OBSERVER - Stewards permitted A Spradau to ride the gelding 2.5kg over its declared weight when no other suitable rider was available.
DIMI THE DANCER – Knuckled at the start.
AMELIA ROSE – Resented the kickback in running and, as a result, raced ungenerously for the majority of the event.
Race 4: Brogden’s Beds R Us Class 3 Plate 1450 metres:
1st – ALL FIVES 2nd – LEICA DUEL (NZ) 3rd – TOO MANY LIES 4th – RAPID
ILES OF TEO – Was withdrawn at 4:26pm by Stewards acting on veterinary advice due to a head laceration sustained whilst in transit to the racecourse. No betting deductions applied.
LEICA DUEL (NZ) - Stewards permitted I Fry to ride the mare 1.0kg over its declared weight when no other suitable rider was available.
SEVEN DEGREES – Stood flat-footed at the jump and failed to take any part in the event. Trainer Mr G Tipping was advised that the gelding would be required to obtain one (1) barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again.
WORMY – Jumped out at the start.
RAPID – Was slowly into stride.
SERENE ROCKET – Was slowly into stride.
Race 5: RACQ NQ Rescue Open Handicap 1450 metres:
1st – THE GALLOWS 2nd – EASTLINE 3rd – STRUMMING 4th – ROCKET ON BY
ROCKET ON BY - Stewards permitted T Chambers to ride the gelding 1.0kg over its declared weight when no other suitable rider was available. Knuckled at the start and shifted in, bumping with another runner. Jockey T Chambers reported that the gelding was inclined to lay in down the running.
SHOW US A SMILE - Stewards permitted I Fry to ride the gelding 3.0kg over its declared weight when no other suitable rider was available.
THE GALLOWS – Bumped with another runner at the start.
STRUMMING – Lost ground at the start when crowded between runners.
