MORE TO IT – Slow to begin losing considerable ground.

WHAT THE HECK – Slow into stride. Raced wide for the entirety of the event.

ESKERVINTH – Raced wide rounding the 600 metre and home turns.

Race 2: Class B Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – RIVERS END 2nd – GIRLSGOGIDDYUP 3rd – ENCORONADA 4th – BUSH LAWYER

ITZACROC – Fractious in the barriers and slow to begin.

ENCORONADA - Raced wide rounding the 600 metre and home turns.

KENTUCKY BOY - Raced wide rounding the 600 metre turn.

RIVERS END – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

STOCKY LADY (NZ) - Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 3: Open Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – WHISPERING DEATH 2nd – ALBERTIQUE 3rd – COURT ACTION 4th – EXCEEDED

When no other rider was available stewards permitted Jockey D.Ballard to ride PISMO BEACH 3kg over its declared weight.

When no other rider was available stewards permitted Jockey T.Chambers to ride GESTICULATION 3kg over its declared weight.

When no other rider was available stewards permitted Jockey T.Chambers to ride ROCKET ELEMENT 3kg over its declared weight.

AMP IT UP AUSSIE – Raced wide rounding the 600 metre turn.


Race 5: Class 1 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – REGAL CONSERVE 2nd – FLAMINGO ROSE 3rd – FAVOURED ONE 4th – GRISWALD

JETEYE WARRIOR was a late scratching at 1.30pm by order of Stewards acting on veterinary advice. Trainer Mr P.Inwood was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness is required before starting again.

When no other rider was available stewards permitted Jockey T.Chambers to ride HOTILLA 3kg over its declared weight.

REGAL CONSERVE – Trainer Mrs D.Ballard notified stewards the gelding had received a minor skin injury prior to arrival on course. Stewards ordered a veterinary examination and consequently the gelding was declared fit to race. Shifted out abruptly at the start contacting another runner.
