GENERAL:  
 
Today’s meeting proceeded without the use of the photo finish camera due to technical issues. All trainers were made aware of the situation. Extra Judges were used with the benefit of a still frame camera.    
 
Race 1: TREVOR MORRIS BUILDERS BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1450M  
 
SPARKLING VIXEN – D Ballard was permitted to ride the mare ½ kg over its allotted weight when other suitable rider was available. D Ballard was fined the sum of $100.  
 
DREAMWARD BOUND – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the race.  
 
Race 2: MT ISA MINING SUPPLIES BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1000M 
 
 MY CRIMSON LAD – Slow to begin. Shifted wider rounding the home turn.  
 
CRAIGLEA SWIFT – Slow to begin. Rider T. Brummell advised Stewards following the race that the mare was field shy and raced wide as result. Raced very wide rounding the home turn.    
 
 
Race 3: MT ISA MINING SUPPLIES ENGINEERING DELIGHT QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M 
 
RISKY TRIO – T Tincknell was permitted to ride the filly ½ kg over its allotted weight when no other suitable rider was available. T Tincknell was fined the sum of $100.  Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BOPPIN THE BLUES – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.   
 
NAUGHTY BUT NICE – Slow to begin.
 
Race 4: MILWAUKEE YOUR NUMBER 1 TOOL OPEN H’CAP – 1200M 

TRAVEL IN STYLE – D Ballard was permitted to ride the gelding ½ kg over its allotted weight when no other suitable rider was available. D Ballard was fined the sum of $100.  
 
MANALONG PASS – Blundered on jumping becoming unbalanced and shifted out making contact with another runner.
 
JABIRU DREAMING – After being slow to begin was bumped by another runner.   
 
CRAIGLEA CRUZ – Raced wide for the majority of the race without cover.
 
Race 5: COUPLE IT WITH VICTAULIC RATINGS 0 - 55 H'CAP (1) – 1200M 
 
NUNCIUS – Slow to begin.   
 
Race 6: HAPPY BIRTHDAY – BRAD TUCKER RATINGS 0 - 55 H'CAP (2) – 1200M 
 
MR ROCKHARD – The start was delayed when the bridle needed replacing behind the barriers.
 
MY COUSIN BOB – The start was further delayed after the gelding broke through the front of the barriers, dislodging its rider before falling when attempting to jump the inside running rail. Stewards ordered MY COUSIN BOB to be a late scratching at 5.27pm.   
On the announcement of correct weight, all monies invested on the horse were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable: 3 cents in the dollar on the face value of all win bets and 4 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets made prior to 5.27pm.
Trainer C Hampton was advised a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to the gelding trialling or racing again and further that it must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have abrasions to its off hind stifle off side fore cannon.
