GENERAL
Stewards intend to interview Jockey J Esser in relation to his non-attendance at today’s race meeting. Jockey Esser was replaced in Race 1 by Jockey T Tincknell as the rider of ZOOKS.
Race 1: GAMBLING COMMUNITY BENEFIT FUND BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1450m
THE GIRLS IN PARIS – Slowly away.
THE KING’S MAGIC – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
ROCK SPARK - Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
Race 2: NORTH WEST TOURS CLASS B HANDICAP 900m
LORD WINDEMERE – Began awkwardly.
JUST PRETENDS – Raced wide for the majority.
Race 3: LEONIE WINKS PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
MUNGI which was resuming following a prolonged absence from racing was inspected by the Veterinarian and passed fit to start.
OAKFIELD SUNSET – Slowly into stride.
EYNHALLOW – Reluctant to proceed to the barriers, delaying the start. Was inclined to lay in in the early and middle stages despite the efforts of Jockey T Tincknell. Hampered another runner near the 600m. Trainer Ms. T Parry was advised that warnings would be placed on the mare’s pre-race and racing manners.
SHOW THE LOOK – Was hampered by another runner which was inclined to lay in near the 600m.
Race 4: GET TO OUR NEXT SEAFOOD NIGHT 18 MAY BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000m
JETTY BETTY – Slowly away. Reluctant to stretch out in the early and middle stages due to resenting the kickback.
SIRTIME – Slowly into stride.
TUNING – Raced wide for the majority.
TIDAL RIP – Shifted in marginally near the 650m tightening another runner. Jockey M Hart was issued with a reprimand for careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a).
DIURNAL TIGER – Rider K Ballard reported that the gelding was inclined to hang out in the early and middle stages placing him at a disadvantage. Had to be restrained near the 650m when tightened by another runner which shifted in marginally.
Race 5: BOOK A TABLE FOR MOTHERS DAY MAY 12th OPEN HANDICAP 1000m
WEATHERVANE - Shifted out abruptly on jumping hampering runners to its outside.
WORLD OF PAIN – Was hampered on jumping by another runner which shifted out abruptly.
CRAIGLEA CRUZ - Was hampered on jumping by another runner which shifted out abruptly. Unable to obtain clear running over the concluding stages.
ELDRICK – Raced 3 wide without cover in the early and middle stages.
Race 6: STEEJO PRESS CLASS 6 PLATE 1200m
NIGHT WOLF – Began awkwardly. Bumped with another runner soon after jumping.
TOO MANY LIES – Bumped by another runner soon after jumping. Jockey J Babarovich reported the gelding was inclined to hang out for some distance passing the 400m. A post-race Veterinary inspection revealed no abnormalities.
SPLIT THE ATOM – Was inclined to hang in in the early and middle stages.

Late Scratchings
