GENERAL
Race 1: - QTIS. CLASS 3 PLATE 1450 Metres.
MAKATITI (NZ) – Failed to jump at start and remained in barriers and took no part in race. Trainer T. Parry was advised mare is to complete two satisfactory barrier trials prior to starting in a race again.
ECHELON ROSE – Shifted out on jumping bumping another runner.
ALMIGHTY GOLD (NZ) – Bumped by another runner which had shifted out on jumping.
AUNTY SNOW – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
Race 2: - OPEN Handicap. 1450 Metres
EXPLOSIVE MISSILE - Buffeted between runners on jumping
CHARLIE CAT - Buffeted between runners on jumping.
UNDER RESTRAINT – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
FIRE RANGER - Raced wide rounding home turn.
Race 3: - BENCHMARK 55 Handicap. 100om
WALLACH – Rider J. Esser was fined $100 for failing to make the allocated weight. Proved difficult to load. Trainer Ms S. Royes was advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings barrier manners
ENCORONADA – Fractious at the barriers and slow to begin.
ALOTAFOX – Slow into stride and shifted outwards under pressure passing the 150m
ORTEGA LANE – Raced in restricted room near the 600 metres.
Race 4: - MAIDEN PLATE 1200 Metres.
BLACK PRINCESS - Shifted out on jumping bumping another runner. Restrained and lost ground near 600 metres when inconvenienced by another runner.
CATE RULES – Bumped by another runner on jumping. Stewards inquired in to an incident which occurred approaching the 600 metres where CATE RULES had commenced racing very ungenerously and despite the efforts of the rider shifted considerably inwards pressuring the runner to its inside (BLACK PRINCESS) which had to be restrained and lost ground. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the patrol footage Stewards could not be satisfied that any rider was at fault and the incident was recorded as a racing incident. Trainer T. Parry advised Stewards that CATE RULES which had raced in blinkers for the first time today would not wear blinkers in future starts.
GOOD TO DREAM – Raced wide in for the majority and was pressured by another runner to the inside which was racing ungenerously in the area of the 600 metres.
SHOW SOME HEART - Raced wide in for the majority.
Race 5: - CLASS B Handicap 1200 Metres
STAR SINGER – Slow to begin and raced wide all the way.
DAN – Raced wide all the way.
NITRO CITY – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
BACCHUR – Shifted out under pressure approaching the 200 metres.
Race 6: - BENCHMARK 69 Handicap 1200 Metres
LORD WINDERMERE – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
