SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Mount Isa February 26th, 2022

Race 1. Class B Handicap 900m

Stewards today concluded their inquiries into the reason Jockey J Babarovich was dislodged from DEEP SEEDED (FR) passing the 400m. As initially reported on race day, and confirmed today by Jockey Babarovich, the offside stirrup leather buckle gave way causing him to become unbalanced and fall from the gelding. Jockey Babarovich confirmed that the failure of this piece of gear was the sole cause of the incident, and as such no further action was required.
