Race 1 : THE BOSS SHOP BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1000 metres
ROCKETING TO WIN – Raced wide without cover during the early and middle stages of the event.
BELLEOFTHEHUNTER – Became fractious in the barriers. Trainer S. Royes was advised that a warning had been place on the mare in relation to barrier manners. Began awkwardly and as a result was slow into stride.
HI ZERO – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
EXPLOSIVE GIRL – Became fractious in the barriers. Trainer S. Royes was advised that a warning had been placed on the mare in relation to barrier manners. Raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. 
RUSTY ROSE – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
 
 
Race 2 : CINEMA ISA MAIDEN Plate 1100 metres
 
COLONEL VON TRAPP – As jockey J. Baker was unable to ride the allocated weight, he was replaced by jockey N. Yadi. Jockey J. Baker was fined $200 under the provisions of AR190(3). Was difficult to load – Trainer K. Krogh was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding. Slipped on jumping away. Raced wide during the early stages of the event.
GULF OF AQABA – Raced wide rounding the home turn. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight.
ORCUS – Awkward to begin. Raced wide throughout.
TABOO – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted in bumping HAVEABEERFORTED. Over raced in the early stages and improved onto heels, and as a result was obliged to shift out to obtain clear running. Raced wide without cover for the remainder of the event.
DON’TSTOPLAUGHING – Slow to begin.
HAVEABEERFORTED - Jockey T. Hill was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m. Contacted on jumping by TABOO who shifted in.
 
Race 3: MT ISA PETS & PRODUCE 100 YEARS MOUNT ISA COPPERMART OPEN Handicap 1100 metres
 
PRIMAL SCREAM – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out bumping JABALI GOLD and as a result was slow into stride. Hung out during the middle stages of the event. Gave ground over the concluding stages. Jockey J. Baker could offer no explanation for the performance but in his opinion, stated that the gelding tired over the concluding stages.
 
FINESSE TESS – In the vicinity of the 600m was taken wider on the track by JABALI GOLD, who was hanging out.
 
METEORANO – When asked to comment on today’s improved performance, trainer Ms. S. Royes said the gelding had worked well since it’s disappointing last start performance.
LOUIE THE LEGEND – Raced wide throughout.
JABALI GOLD – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted in, bumping with PRIMAL SCREAM. In the vicinity of the 600m, hung out taking FINESSE TESS wider onto the track. Raced wide throughout.
ZUMIKON – Hung in severely in the early stages of the event.
Race 4 : MACRAE NEWS QTIS Class 3 Plate 1450 metres
BARRICHELLO – Raced wide without cover throughout.
FLYING EUROS – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 5 : TREVOR MORRIS BUILDERS MOUNT ISA CUP/ OUTBACK RACING SHOWCASE (HEAT) Open Handicap 1450 metres
DUKES COUNTRY – Raced wide throughout.
CAFFREY – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
ZOOMARATTA – Awkward to begin.
DANAWI – Slow into stride
FINGERTIPS – Raced wide throughout. Jockey N. Yadi dropped his whip in the vicinity of the 200m.
 
Race 6: QH20 BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1200 metres
LOGOMANIA – Raced wide throughout.
ONTHETAKE – Raced wide in the middle stages of the event.
SPURCIFIC JOURNEY – Shifted out on jumping away hampering STROKE OF MAGIC.
STROKE OF MAGIC - Slow to begin. Hampered on jumping when SPURCIFIC JOURNEY shifted out. At the 1100m, elected to shift out to obtain clear running. Raced wide throughout.

Race 1: At the conclusion of the meeting, Jockey J. Baker reported that following the running of Race 1, his mount BELLEOFTHEHUNTER became fractious on return to the mounting yard and struck him in the chest. Jockey J. Baker was examined by QAS officers and was found to have minor bruising to his torso and advised to report to stewards any further medical attention required.
