RACE 1: HV POWER QTIS RATING BAND 0-60 HANDICAP – 1450M

Mister Moderation – Fractious in the barriers. Trainer D Ballard was questioned regarding the disappointing performance of Mister Moderation. She advised that Jockey J Hoopert reported that the gelding was racing comfortably forward in the early and middle stages and when asked for an effort approaching the home turn failed to run on. Ms Ballard was at a loss to explain the performance and advised that she usually does not gallop the gelding between race starts but had done so on the 16 August 2025 and felt this may have affected the horse’s condition. Ms Ballard will advise Stewards should she note anything in coming days. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Panda Drum – After jumping on terms with the field, the gelding resented the kick back, refused to stretch out and lost considerable ground. Jockey D Smith reported that Panda Drum refused to stretch out early until taken wide in the back straight to avoid kickback. This was bought to the attention of Trainer Ms D Ballard who advised that she would experiment with gear changes to attempt to rectify the issue.
Regal Judgement – Obtained an inside run to lead at the 600 metres when Project Xero hung out.
Project Xero – Shifted out under pressure at the 600 metres when leading and Regal Judgement improved to the inside to lead.
Dangereuse –  Trainer K Krogh was questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding which finished a distant last in comparison to its previous start at Hughenden on 19 July 2025 when a winner. Mr Krogh advised that Dangereuse had not raced for a period of five weeks due to a meeting being postponed and him being unable to obtain a rider at other meetings. Given the above he believed that the horse was short of condition. The explanation was noted.
A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

RACE 2: VALE PETER PULMAN OPEN PLATE_- 1450m

Metal Bar – Raced wide throughout. Jockey S McGovern advised that he elected to race there as he felt the going was better out wide.
Stampede Warrior – Slow into stride.
Victory Bay - Slow into stride.

RACE 3: MOUNT ISA AAA VETS OPEN HANDICAP – 1000M

Just Stop It - A post-race veterinary examination of Just Stop It identified the presence of blood in both nostrils. Just Stop It shall not without the permission of the Stewards: (a) be trained, exercised or galloped on any racecourse for a period of two months; (b) start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1,000 metres in the presence of a Steward. AR79(4).
Chaseton – Approaching the 700 metres Chaseton changed strides, became unbalanced and shifted in tightening Yellowstone Beth which had improved to the inside of its heels and lost ground.
Seiryu - Reared as the gates opened and lost considerable ground. Trainer T Parry advised that she would be making a gear change for the mares next race start and race Seiryu in a browband.
Yellowstone Beth – Tightened for room and lost ground at the 700 metres.

RACE 4: HV POWER / AAA VETS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1000M

Kwik Az Hell – Was extremely fractious in the mounting yard pre-race. Fractious in the barriers, delaying the start. Lost considerable ground when the gates opened and Trainer T Parry was advised that she will be required to obtain a barrier certificate prior to the mare racing again.
Santorini Sun – Raced wide throughout. Hung in between the 700 metres and 400 metres.

RACE 5: GREAT NORTHERN RODEO CLASS 3 PLATE – 1200M

Super Story - Bumped on jumping and then raced wide throughout.
Whodareswins - – Raced wide.
Toronado Rouge – Raced wide.
How Awesome – A pre-race inspection was conducted by the Club Veterinary Surgeon on a preexisting minor laceration to the near side cannon and the mare passed fit to start. Jumped awkwardly and contacted Super Story.
