GENERAL:
Stewards admonished apprentice Ms. J. Devine in that she was unable to ride at her agreed riding weight today, whilst noting her explanation she was reminded of her obligation to ensure in future that she rides at her nominated weight.  

Race 1:HAPPY QLD DAY MAIDEN PLATE – 1200 Metres
 
WHO ASKED ZOU – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
FORTUNAS GIRL – Raced wide in the early stages.

ZEPHIRINE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
Race 2:  NQES QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE – 1200 Metres
 
RISKY INVESTMENT – Began awkwardly.  
 
BUZ FUZ – Shifted in shortly after the start bumping COMBS. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
COMBS – Bumped shortly after the start and shifted in brushing with POLLY HOFFA for a short distance.

POLLY HOFFA – Raced in restricted room soon after the start brushing with COMBS for a short distance which shifted in.
 
Race 3: LEWIE FIRE BM50 HANDICAP – 1000 Metres
 
GROOVE JET – Slow to begin.  
 
EXOLENT CHOICE – Slow into stride. Laid in under pressure in the home straight being steadied from the heels of WHISKEY RIVER near the 50 metres.   

NOCI DI COCCO – Race wide for the majority of the race.  
 
Race 4: NQES COPPERMARKET OPEN QUALITY HANDICAP – 1100 Metres
 
PENNYPACKER – Slow into stride and shifted in bumping ALLEZIZZY. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
ALLEZIZZY – Slow into stride and bumped on jumping.  
 
AFFIRMATIVE LIGHT – Began awkwardly.  
 
VIBURNUM – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 5:THE LEWIE FIRE MOUNT ISA CUP/2026 OUTBACK RACING SHOWCASE - HEAT - OPEN HANDICAP – 1450 Metres
 
REMORSELESS – Slow into stride. Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
ZOUHOPE – Slow into stride. Shifted out under pressure leaving the 200 metres bumping with BENEVENTO which shifted in.
 
LONE ARTIST – Laid out near the 1000 metres forcing BENEVENTO wider.

BENEVENTO – Forced wider leaving the 1000 metres. Shifted in under pressure leaving the 200 metres bumping with ZOUHOPE which shifted out.   
 
HANG FIVE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
VONK – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
Race 6:CITY & COUNTRY REALTY RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP – 1450 Metres
 
MELATEN – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
PEAR BELLINI – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Finished tailed off. Jockey Ms. B. Stower advised that in her opinion the mare was not comfortable on today’s surface and was not suited by racing back in the field. Trainer Ms. T. Parry agreed with jockey Stowers assessment and added that the step up in grade and first start on a sand surface was also a contributing factor. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
